The Raid community as we know it

Yeah i've already looked you up and its a blank state of nothing. You wanna talk about how you're just as efficient at raiding while fooling around and having fun at least have some evidence up. Not saying its impossible but you know, saying stuff on the internet, accountability, ect.

also contrary to popular belief, there are those who are good at raids who do not have their own twitch streams, youtube channels, t shirts, or other venues.

You can have fun in a game, do raids in a game and not have a public social following.

I'm really good at raiding that's why me and none of the other team members or people I've pugged with have never submitted a log, ever. Just trust me brah.

I fall into a similar category as Xeno, but applied to most content, not just raiding. I'm willing to give people numerous tries, and if someone wants to learn, I'll happily teach. I've wiped for hours on end teaching people Coils and other encounters.

However, if you put zero effort in, don't expect much in return.

Anyone can be a raider and complete any raid. Not anyone can be a nice raider. that takes some integrity.

Having seen Xeno's stream since way back in mid-ish 2.X, I can tell you that it's largely just a character that people except from him because MAAAAN MOOODE etc etc (if you just listen to him on raid days talking to his team, he's a lot more calm and collected). He's generally a nice guy and will help anyone that's willing to learn - he's helped waaaaay more people get clears than I think anyone else can claim to, after stuff gets unlocked he basically only streams him joining clear parties and putting in tons of attempts per group. He largely gets a bad rep because of the whole man mode thing and because he doesn't let people trying to get carries slide - which I think the latter is commendable and should be enforced far more often. I know we all wish we were patron saints, but the truth is that you'll encounter waaaaaay too many people who join clears/farms without being ready and teaching every single one of them is a task only Buddha could handle.

ah ok ..if thats the case he wont get a whole lot of dps since I heal in raids with the occasional dps here and there

Insult people is not the way but neither is cuddling them. If someone is not good enough to do certain content he is not good enough for it and that's about it, is up to them to improve or limit themselves to content they can clear without a problem.
