I hate this mindset. Tanks and Healers aren't working harder than a DPS player and I say that as a Healer main. Upholding Rotations during mechanic heavy fights and with positional trash is a hell of a lot more work than you think it is. Keeping Aero on a boss and dishing out the occasional heal every 20 seconds is nothing compared to that. All three roles require an immense amount of upkeep to be played well. The only difference is that there is WAY MORE DPS ROLES than tank and healers. That's the only reason why queues for them are long. Get off the god complex please.

Second, they were not talking about dps in general, it was a response to the idea that dps get more exp for dungeons for having less queues, but that means tanks/healers would HAVE to run more for same effect, which would be silly.

Third, the only reason isn't the amount of jobs, HW proved that. Adding more tanks wont convince dps players to become a tank. The real issue is SE is going backwards with these classes and making them less rewarding and engaging to play and driving some of the tanks and healers away into dps where they feel their effort can mean something. SE needs to find a way to make these jobs more fun to play in general, not less.

They got some cool mechanics in big fights for them, but outside that, they are extremely dull and playing well yields hardly more than not outside of raids.

Slow your roll there. My comment was in response to the suggestion that DPS get bonus experience for waiting longer in the queue.

I also hate the mindset that Tanks and Healers somehow put in more work / effort than DPS, however they weren't referring to that..

What Moonfish was saying, was that the issue with more net-EXP per run for DPS would mean that a DPS would only have to do 1 dungeon for a tank's equivalent of doing 3 dungeons as an example (if bonus EXP was rewarded for longer queue times).
Not that the tank/healer roles specifically require "more effort".

If the tank is doing 3 dungeons for every 1 the dps is doing in the same time frame then the tank is working harder I'm not sure what you don't understand about this.

To reply to the quoted above: No they're not, they do however have a higher burden of responsibility.

If a dps doesn't play well: Stuff takes longer. If a Healer or a Tank doesn't play well stuff tends to wipe, people get salty, bad vibes happen.

It's a moot point anyway, the incentive is to help dps players get into dungeons quicker, that's your reward.
