It's called supply and demand. DPS, and I've been one for 99.99% of my MMO playtime, are extremely common. We're the burger flippers and grocery baggers of the MMO world. We're easily replaceable, therefore our relative value is low. The demand is easily met because the supply is so high. You're already getting your reward... a spot and minimum wage. You want more than that? You take on a role that is needed, but few are willing or able to perform. It's actually a pretty good life lesson.

Well maybe if DPS didn't bully and harass healers and tanks regularly, we wouldn't be having this shortage? It's a shortage they themselves cause, and I have no sympathy for them.

Wait...what? I don't think role has anything to do with whether you are the kind of person who talks crap to people in game. It might seem that way if you always queue as a healer or a tank since 2/3 of your party is a DPS. But as a DPS where the other players tend to be equally distributed, I see just as many dorks in every role. It's just odds.

It amazes me how many people don't understand this simple concept. Economics isnt being taught in school anymore apparently.

Thank you for eloquently posting this as it is an important life lesson to some.
