    ..but but... without any ilvl270 STR on my tank, my damage will go down like 30% (average Auto atk dmg on Tanks I was testing: full VIT -> 700dmg :; Full STR -> 1000! so 30% difference) Wich is really ALOT! I dont wanna fight trash mobs in PvE for a minute.. thats boring and time waste <.< Also I heared and saw it myself so often, Tanks have diffcultys holding aggro on enemys because of the Nerf: VIT no longer boost dmg! I wont care about VIT Accessories till they fixed that mess! >.>

    Well as I mentioned before I have no issues on healer, with a str tank because they are usually a great tank.....but I do have a problem with the meta only because there aren't that many great tanks and that will stress the hell out of a party having a str potato tank but I'm sure SE will make some adjustments, the expansion just came out we knew it would be some balancing issues even though I didn't expect SE to make the same mistake as they did in HW lol

    That is now. Without Str materia VI.

    STR acc right side: plain 390 STR
    VIT acc right side: plain 125 STR.
    Diff: 265 STR.

    1266 STR on left side 310: ~21% more STR using STR acc.

    On 340 it's maybe around 1465 left side which is only ~18% more STR wearing the 270 pieces, while on the other hand the difference in max. Vit has risen a lot.

    And I didn't even factor in weapon damage. Or higher off-stats of right side VIT gear. That makes your "left side AP" rise even more making the 265 smaller and smaller in comparison.


    So no: Nobody will wear those "until the end of expansion", like some people claimed. Eventually this would be a trade of maybe 25% of your HP for 0,5% STR increase.

    It is when people bypass the ilvl requirement then switch to lower ilvl gear. It's obviously not intended.

    You can change accessories after joining in, so you join in EX Primals with your Vit accessories then switch them to Str accessories, same with future content. Also, you can't pentameld primary stats anymore, they changed that in 3.2 so Tanks won't be able to get anymore strength from accessories than they are now as we are already melding strength into our accessories; the most Str we will ever be able to get from our vit accessories is 125 from 5 Str VI Materia (25 Str per Materia).

    Sounds like if they really wanna stop it they need to just go back further and change the STR accessories to be DPS only. Not just the new ones.

    It really sucks when the next ilvl set of accessories just doesn't give you any useful sense of progression: More HP doesn't help you do anything new when you already had enough. Excess HP doesn't lower the amount of healing required - it doesn't mitigate damage. The healer is still on the hook for the same amount of healing as before. More HP doesn't help the clear go faster. It only helps you keep from being one-shot, something that's irrelevant if you're already clearing content!

    Tanks aren't DPS, they don't need to do DPS-levels of damage, the damage doesn't have to be the most important part of tanking.
    However, it's not fun for i270 accessories to be better for damage than any accessory in the whole expansion. It's not fun to not gain power from upgrading any right-hand-side piece.
    It's not fun to fall further behind with each successive ilevel increase since your accessories don't scale damage at all.

    Accessories need to have a positive impact on tank attack power.

    I was only in Deliverance in Solo content leveling through Stormblood or when I can be a pure offtank (Susano or Lakshmi NM, I go in Defiance on last boss because at the moment healers can't seem to handle the damage output). I have had some instances where it gets hairy but I normally keep hate. The issue is that I will most likely be tp trained by the end of a pull because I had to spam Overpower 2-3x more than what it used to require (on top of the other things to keep AoE enmity such as Infuriate CD,Building up Gauge for Steel Cyclone (which is 5 BB combos or 2 Storm's Path combos,Onslaught).

    I stopped running STR accessories during the 3.x change and melded VIT with STR materia. Slightly considering going back to slaying as I typically run as WAR/MNK/SCH and I already have those accessories. I haven't put those on, because I've also found some healers leaving me using Holmgang on CD, but I'm considering doing it as more people get to 70.
