You're greatly overstating the complexity of SMN AoE. You do have to hit more than a couple of buttons, but by no means it is anything difficult. RDM has Death Blossom and a weak Katon basically. It's going to have an AoE rotation as boring as NIN's was.

I think we are arguing two different things. I am not talking about complexity. I know SMN has more complex and interesting to do AOE. I am talking ease of use and spamability. You can't spam SMN AOE. You can RDM. RDM AOE might be boring, but at least it has no set up and you can spam it as long as your mana holds out.
