I'm from Montreal and I barely notice a difference. I can still double weave no clip the same as before. Ping varying between 100MS and 120MS. Also I play on PS4.

Well to be fair, the East Coast does have double the population of the West Coast. I suppose more voices would make it louder. Honestly, they should have stuck it in Chicago or Texas, but I figure some money saving is related to the Sacramento choice.

After hearing how SA's routing works, I'd just about agree that it could stand to be more eastern than it is.

But, you're right, there's more to any business deal than any end user will ever know.

Is this true? Do we actually know how many people play east/west of the Mississippi or The Rockies? If so, where can I find such information? Or is this all based on conjecture?

It's just conjecture if we're going player only basis. If we're going by actual population, the East Coast has at least 115 million residents while the West has about 50-60 million.

Don't forget about the eastern side of the central states, that a huge population too negatively effected by this, not just the the most eastern part of the USA. I would bet everything I own that there is a larger population that was mild to severely negative impacted, then those this helped. (Don't forget EU, south America, etc as well)
