Nah the PC Resource Manager only shows the incoming and outgoing connections on that PC.
You can get the IP of the server you wish to check the ping and open Command Prompt on the computer that is on the same network as your PS4 and do "ping serverip"
You can see the ping in ms that way since the PC is on the same network as the ps4 it should be relatively the same.
Florida. No change at all 90-106 average.
Is it reset Tuesday yet.
I question whether I'm playing a PvE game with PvP mixed in, or I am I playing a PfG.
15-25ish before, 80-100ish now. Double weaving on Bard is clipping into my gcds now. And I have to exit aoes much sooner now.. I feel the difference.
Hmm, my suspicion was that this was the case. You may be interested in reading this tumblr post, which is about a certain thing that was made to counteract this problem of server validation and ping tax, but for a different MMO.TL;DR: If more actions in the game functioned like Mudras, where the Client is trusted without requiring a response from the server, much of FFXIV's clunky action execution problems would evaporate. That's what I think, anyway.
What do you think about FFXIV's overall responsiveness, relating to Ping and in general?
I fall into the category that FFXIV is clunky and slow. I'm used to being able to rapidly cast skills one after another and being able to animation cancel a lot of my skills, so it just feels somewhat slow to me. Like if I don't have any oGCDs to cast, I'm literally sitting there either waiting for the GCD to reach under a quarter of its duration, or I'm spamming the skill (if I don't want to look at my hotbar). From what I understand, WoW has a much shorter GCD (1-1.5s).

We're using our own PC as source, open cmd and type
ping serveriphere
windows resource monitor, tcp latency
I anticipated that there would be some issues/drawbacks/delays/whatever it is to send players batty, and that it would take a little bit for things to get back to normal. As such I decided to take some additional days away from the game. I'm not saying everyone should also take some time away to let things settle, but it's the only way I know how to be patient since I don't have patience for lag type issues.
I'm pretty sure things will be just fine in a few days. Not the end of the world. Unless the world ends in the next couple days. But the end of the world should wait until Monday. The weekend, as fitting as it sounds, is just inconvenient![]()
I admit doing PotD I am seeing more lag spikes than normal (I am in Colorado, had no issues prior) so I am going to hold off a few days before I become a doom sayer, if at all. xD
