I play on a Japanese server for personal reasons and live on the US East Coast. Ping from distance to the server etc is real. It does make things like Primals and raids, and even dungeons difficult at times. I'm lucky I'm not a raider or Primal farmer, otherwise I'd be pretty unhappy.

No they didn't. I live on the east coast and my ping is fine. Most likely your ISP is to blame.

Try to use pingzapper, it's helped me a little bit.

Vivo Fibra 200mbps in SP. I can go down to 200ms using VPN, but I should not have to pay extra to still get a shitty ping. You can't double weave with 200ms without losing precious global cooldown time.

I do not at all agree with the move to Cali (i think it is a bad location server wise) but must learn to live with it until they decide to add a eastern or central server

If it makes you feel any better, OP, my game has always been laggy. I used to live in Missouri until February of this year, now I live in Virginia. Same problems anyway. My laptop sucks as far as graphics and ISP has never been that great either. I dream of the day I can one day see my character in 60 FPS but that's still just a dream. I'm terrified that with the minimum spec requirements being increased that I won't be able to play. I can't even load the benchmark because it says I don't meet the requirements.

Checked ping just to be sure, says it's 82.
