I feel nothing about you, your life, your dreams, your ambitions, your intentions, or your current overall place in this cosmos. Just pointing out that what this forum needs is for people to stop making threads upon threads for the exact same issue.
First world problems. I get 139MS from Australia to Tonberry on a good day. We're seeing a lot of "The ping is unacceptable!" and "it's great guys just relax".
I feel like the under represented middle here. My ping was ~90, and now it's still ~90. To all the players who are complaining about getting ~90 ping, I just want to tell them to deal with it. The response to those kinds of statements seems to be "yeah but you like the change since you're benefiting so much", but nope just the same here.
So I guess I'm hoping this topic can help represent those of us who aren't really effected much, if at all, or those of us that just don't care.

OK so i see a lot of posts mostly disappointments, you need to know this new data center and routing around it won't be perfect on day 1. we had the same issues with EU Data center move as well ( used to be in Canada too ), and the first week or so was Horrible we had routing issues, and it was mostly from the ISP sides and their connections ( namely orange ).
for those not familiar with the internet and and how it works, it's like a huge spiderweb with inter-connections and bottlenecks and such. the new servers are probably creating unusual or new traffic in some of the connections or hubs, so i think the ISPs need to help SE as well, it's not all on SE. I think with time, it will get better for the rest.
I get how the internet works but what do you mean by "Routing around it won't be perfect on day 1" .. why not? I do not see why it would suddenly take different paths.
Past that I am not really complaining about the ping directly (in case people jump on my back for this question, since no one pointed it out to me) it was more with the programmed delays in the game that been around since forever and been driving me nuts this whole time, (and the increased ping does make it worse, and thought it was there just because servers where slow/out of date) something I do hope changes for SB.

cause u know not all the routers are the same, the ISP can upgrade certain routers or hubs where the trafic is not being handled properly , or just route it in another path. this is an on going issue with ISP , and they must monitor their traffic, and upgrade bandwidth or add different routs, etc. all this takes time, and planning and it doesn't happen instantly.
You do know that the only thing that can get better are just some possible new routes right? And even then the chance would be slim since I assume all ISPs would of had all their DNS tables sorted by now or else the data center transfer would of just not happened. I'm not saying it'll never get better, just that if something does get better it won't be SE leaning on the service providers, especially in the US.cause u know not all the routers are the same, the ISP can upgrade certain routers or hubs where the trafic is not being handled properly , or just route it in another path. this is an on going issue with ISP , and they must monitor their traffic, and upgrade bandwidth or add different routs, etc. all this takes time, and planning and it doesn't happen instantly.
