Maybe you dont know as much as what you think you do.

That one cuts both ways.

For the sake of common ground in discussion I'd recommend constructing your pitch to the audience and leave out technical or jargon-type terms. It tends to project an impression of perceived superiority, an "I know more/better than you" vibe which isn't conducive to collaborative discussion.

It's great to be educated. It's better to consider and relate to your audience.
