seven dollars is nothing tho its seven dollars, the thing is its up to you whether you believe that emote is worth your attention for me its not for some it is, but its not like its something you have to have again its just a want. Everything in the cash shop is a want, SE provides everything that we need to play the game in the game, why are people butthurt about optional items.

This reminds me of a post I made on entitlement , samething goes here people want same achievements as people who worked for those achievements, and it seems now the people in the wrong are those whom have more money than others to blow. Like its just a way for the game to make extra money give them a break they give us so much already why get upset that they are making side cash from those who have the extra money to buy it. On a balance beam 50 plus emotes compared to like under 10 for sale I believe we have plenty of things for our sub, I cant believe people are complaining about that ten they didnt put in the game.

And just last month we got the dote emote again for our 15 dollar sub I forgot about that one.

Almost everything you buy the product and you pay extra you buy cable at base price if you want those extra channels better have some extra money, you buy a gym membership if you want all the extra stuff that come with some extra money. If your in school want to take extra hours more money, you want those extra dlc in other games after you buy the base game more money. Like this is not a new concept , this is business nothing more just like jump potion is business Im ok with not having everything just because I paid enough to play the game every month, if I cant afford cash shop items then I just cant Im not gona say the game is wrong for having them.

Let them make money why not you enjoy their game so let them profit as much as they can for all they give us all Im saying is just be thankful. As I already mention while they where putting these items in cash shop they still gave us a new dance four our 15 dollars a month, so why get mad about the other two they didnt just give us is it really that big of a deal that we only got one thing instead of all three things for our monthly sub.

This is what we call "nickle and diming". Some customers see what they view as a low price and think "Oh it's not that much" and get it. Repeated, those little bits of cost add up to be oftentimes even more cost than a few big prices.

And 7 dollars is hardly cheap for an emote. It's almost half the price of a subscription. I really wish people valued money more :/

That mindset is why DLC is the norm these days. lol

These are a couple examples of how DLC costs can add up

Just those two games alone. And this isn't including the rest of the games I have on Steam, as well as my console games.

Yet its DLCs come out to be somewhere around $60 in total, which doesn't even come close to the prices of all those small cost DLCs in your example.

Just food for thought. Lower prices don't always mean lower prices in the end. It's a bit disappointing people still fall for this tactic.

I only managed to get to the top of page 4 of XIV's optional items page before I screwed up on the calculator, but my tally so far was $549.99. I tried to leave out duplicates (only added female version of outfits, single dye options, full item sets vs. individual items, left off weddings as there is a free version). They have 7 pages total. When I'm off of work I'll have to try again and hopefully I won't fat finger again. lol

I really dislike that, again someone correct me if I'm wrong, that they don't give you the achievement but rather the specific item all divided out (which means you can lose it too, vs achievement where you can obtain it again). Imo, you should be able to purchase the calamity salvage rights (via the achievement), and of course get the item in the mail. The whole pick a specific sex thing seems really customer gouging to me. Although I could see them raising the price to purchase achievement slightly because of the unlock like that - since some achievements unlock many costumes at once, basically you're purchasing the whole event in one go.

Boredom won out. So for a single character, you can own all cash shop items for a hair over $990!

I did add the $20 wedding package into the mix this time as you do get the mount + all wedding outfits which is not in free version. I still only counted female versions of outfits, single dyes and full sets of items only. No fantasias, world transfers or other "account" items were included.

Anyway, figured I'd post in case anyone was curious

For comparison, quickly adding all the items, pets and mounts I could see on WoW's store page came to roughly $388.

WoW! (heehhe) That is a pretty massive difference. Kudos to XIV for beating WoW in something I suppose. :X
