Samurai Melee DPS thoughts

This isn't even an issue. Players that main a Tank or a Healer usually main those classes because they enjoy tanking, or healing. They aren't suddenly going to hate tanking and vow to never play anything but SAM or RDM ever again. They will switch over and try it out, maybe even cap it. But eventually, they're going to shift back to the role that they enjoy the most. Everything will even back out in time.

I don't believe in that. That what people say to convince themselves. But I can assure you I already know a lot of people in the game desiring to switch from their main tanks or healer to Samurai.

No that's what happened with HW and what will happen with SB.

And people who "desire" to switch are the same people who want to "switch because it's new" people, not people who are going to main anything.

Yes, that's why it's better for people to make groups for when early access launches, lost of people did it in HW.
