It was an interview saying that they would not implement BLU until they found a way to fit the core identity of the job in an MMO setting, and that keeping the enemy skill learning aspect of the job is important, which he has admitted that they have not found a way to do that yet (who knows, could be a red herring, but it does seem weird)

I speak and read it fluently also. Took Japanese for over 16 years since I was a little kid...and I got a bit of different info then that outta it. Also the part where he spoke (not an interview or summary) is in the "Naoki Yoshida Room" segment of the paid stream. He absolutely said we won't be seeing it any time soon.

I don't have access to the paid stream, but in the three articles Shippuu linked, there were no mentions of anything close to what he said in 2014. I can translate what he said in the first article for you and him if you'd like:

Well then you clearly don't speak Japanese as well as you think you do then because while the second article doesn't specify Blue Mage, it's still talking about the same moment during the panel, and I don't know how you didn't see 青魔道士(Blue Mage) in the third one either

I just rechecked the second article, and there was nothing more than a small blurb about NA players speculating about one of the new jobs being Blue Mage and how Yoshida thinks learning gameplay is interesting and was considering making it a solo-only class. Again, nothing about being the distant future, quite the opposite, the near future (将来的).

The third article doesn't even quote Yoshida's words about Blue Mage, just paraphrases (technically, neither does the 2nd), and they even misquote the intended paraphrase. And again, even in the inaccurate paraphrase, it says nothing close to what was said in 2014.
