So wait... you mean the Spider-man shirt could be both BLU and SAM? Nah... That's just crazy talk!
Again, if Yoshi hadn't spoken about how he's struggling to figure out how to implement BLU a mere 2 months ago, I would be in 100% agreement with you, yet it doesn't make sense to talk about it in such a light so close to the EU FanFest.
I have not read the full thread (because man is this thread long) but I think I cracked the code:
Just like Kimari was a Blue Mage that was also a Dragoon.
Just like our Bard is a Ranger/Bard hybrid
We get a Blue Mage that also wields a Katana and is a Tank!
Anyways crazy idea, but if this happens, I want full credit (unless someone already said it somewhere in the thread already...)
PS: why is this thread so hostile? I thought this was about the fun of guessing the announcement ahead of time... I spot-read and I keep seeing arguments questioning each others intelligence, or claiming "that is not what I want." It's not like anything that is said on this thread will make devs cancel their plan and switch direction at this point. Why the hate? (yes, I'm newish to the forums.)

Not entirely crazy. I said it a few posts back. Citing Zenos' weapon for the theory. He has a katana, that looks as if it goes into a sheath on his gunblade. Also, he has what looks like tank gear.I have not read the full thread (because man is this thread long) but I think I cracked the code:

RDM is getting a combo weapon. Maybe Samugunblademage is getting one too.
Because video game talk is supposed to be super serious. You need to provide 10 references, 40 pages of written essays, and cite sources according to ASME, ANSI, APA, IEEE, and ASTM standards.PS: why is this thread so hostile? Remember when Dark Knight used Gaius' gunblades? What? You don't?
I don't think BLU because he literally said at the JP fanfest that BLU won't be coming for a long time, and when it finally does..(then he explained his musing on it)
But I think it will be SAM and something else. Hoping for DNC, could be anything!
The only thing YP said about BLU being hard to implement or anything of the sort was back in 2014.
Pretty sure he reiterated it as late as vegas (could be JP) fan fest 2016, though don't quote me on that or ask for source. It was an interview saying that they would not implement BLU until they found a way to fit the core identity of the job in an MMO setting, and that keeping the enemy skill learning aspect of the job is important, which he has admitted that they have not found a way to do that yet (who knows, could be a red herring, but it does seem weird)

What you're referring to here is the 2014 interview question for a Live Letter. Unfortunately, some dishonest or misinformed people are spreading the rumor it was recent.
