Is anyone else not a fan of job homogenization?
It was a disaster for MCH and BRD. I'd rather see a continuation of job/class abilities that make each unique, along with the elimination of cross class altogether.

Yes, you're right, my bad, but since Shadowskin and Rampart have the same effect, they will probably be added to the generic skillset too to open space for new skills to make the jobs feel more unique. However, tanks can say goodbye to some of their crossclasses skills too:
Famitsu: The current additional action system is made so that players willingly pick actions depending on their class. Some actions are made available to be shared between classes. Will some actions become job specific? For example, marauder’s Blood Bath being available only to that job?
Yoshida: Some actions will become unique. Abilities that will mainly be in the shared category will be damage up abilities, or debuff abilities, etc. We want to make it so that you can change which abilities you use depending on the content and other party member.
I'm not a fan of homogenization, but i think i f thei do this right (IF!!!) then this will be the exact oposite of homogenization, as they free overlapping skill slots and as they said they will fill them with UNIQUE skills.

They also mentioned that they will be deleting abilities that are hardly used. Fracture was an example as was the DRG abilities: Feint and Keen Flurry.
This means we won't share cleric stance anymore ? Sch/ast will have their own " CS", i wonder what's gonna be

Not quite. They are essentially doing away with the cross skill system. Every ability there now will be available for each role regardless of whether the corresponding job is leveled. So you do not need to unlock or even level Conjurer or Gladiator to access Cleric Stance or Provoke, respectively. Both will be available from the onset.
Oooh i see. Also will they revamp the useless abilities by traits ? Because for scholars, Ruin is useless since Broil, but it's still useful for SMN, i really wonder how they'll manage thatNot quite. yeah its mostly taking things that are cross class now and just making them role based and opened by role lvl not by a specific jobs level from what I can tell. for example when a tank reaches lvl 22 it opens up provoke for the tank role, and then all tanks can equip it from there.
big part of what they said is also that rotations will not get any more complex than they currently are at 60, so i do expect to see some pruning and skill consolidation, and I am hoping to see accuracy bite the dust.

so long PLD using stoneskin
If they can clean up the skills this way and add some new post-50 passives to add power to old skills, I'm there 100%.
What I hope for most is: Enhance Flash II - Adds damage with a potency of 100 to all nearby enemies
So Flash would have damage and a debuff, to keep it fair for DRK I think the Heavy debuff from PVP should be added to Unleash.
