No, the mature thing is to not rage in the first place, but rather take a step back, a deep breath and a break when you get angry. Which you should probably do right now because you are not being particularly mature.

Disabling chat is just the easy way out, that has nothing to do with maturity and all to do with cost/time efficiency.
