Mystic Knight is VERY iconic through the series. One of the most memorable jobs, maybe not as much as BLM, but on par with Bard. They were the original user of Magic Sword skills that people always ask in the threads, and it was FFXI's dev team fault to completely break the class apart to create their Red Mage, that has nothing to do with all the other FF's Red Mages. Even with acess to only lower tier spells (not that lower, FFI Red Mage could cast up to lvl.7 spells) Dualcast makes up for it. There's just no reason to make it a tank. Personally, with the current meta, I think RDM would be very well done as a healer, with a good range of offensive spells as well as healing spells.
