Hi

Is everyone able to cast 6 x ruin 3 during DWT ?
I have problem to do it. I barely can cast 5 ruin 3, then 1 last using swiftcast. And even with this i often miss DeathFlare.

i'm supposed to have 2.4 sec cast but even 5 gcd takes me almost 15 sec while it's supposed to be less than 12.5 ;-;

I think the way to you do it are with AST spellspeed buff or Garuda buff, but I don't think you put +1R3 on DWT are the way to improve the DPS

So I'm noticing the SMN opener has a lot of variations and it's a very "to each his own thing" just from browsing this forum. If I'm just getting back to SMN after a couple month break though, so is the guide at the start of this topic updated and if so, which of the openers is the recommended one? Just not sure where to begin for both single target as well as aoes. I have my summoner at 60, just trying to figure out where to start with it since I haven't played in so long.

Since they changed the pot-timing and increased spellspeed, you can weave in 9x Ruin III into your opener. The way to do this is to precast shadowflare and rouse+spur.
My SS is @ 889 which results in 2.29s GCD, but i think you can prob do it with 870, or even less if you have arrow/selene.
For those, who don't have enough SS ruin ii+fester is the alternative.

You have more Ruin III's than possible there. DWT is 15s, you have Deathflare 17.5s later.

I mean 8x ruin iii, the 2.5s gcd is misleading. Its 6x ruin 3 under 2.3s, meaning you have 13.8s for ruin 3, 0.5s for deathflare and 0.5s for the precasted swiftcast dwt ruin3, which is a very tight window but doable. Gonna upload a video later this day. Not sure if thats worth the changes in gear though that you have to make.

Theoretically with a 2.25s gcd you can put in fester before you deathflare, however for that you have to sacrifice too much crit. Probably 890 900 SS depending on your ping is the breakpoint for 6x Ruin III under DWT.

Replace the first two ruin3 with the skills you couldnt precast, in worst case after bio>shadowflamme>ruin2(rouse+spur). Every skill you precasts yields an additional ruin 3 up to 2. The mana should be nearly full again with your aetherflow afterwards.

I should also mention it looks like my skill speed is only at 354 since I just got back into the game after a couple month break, so until I gear up is that rotation still going to work to an extent? Obviously until I gear up more I won't be doing anything super raid worth, but I still would like to practice it for when I do get to that point.

What will be affected by that is the amount of Ruin III you can cast while inside Dreadwyrm, as that's what has the tightest sps window. It should work regardless.
