Legs and Body are bigger upgrades even if they aren't BiS because they give more overall strength. Besides, you need a7s and a8s down to get the legs and chest, respectively. So many people have to settle for Augmented over Midan pieces.

but according to this and few comments on this thread Augmented hellfire are better than midan ones.

Are you trying to say that i should replace all Augmented hellfire as soon as i get he midan pieces? please do reply as I have alrdy started to gear myself out as per these guides/comments. A sample build would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

They simply means if you aren't in a group killing a7s and a8s, augmenting your chest and legs is a bigger boost than any other pieces. BIS lists don't mean anything if you can't get the gear on the list

BIS gear is only BIS as a set. So if you don't have the full set, exactly as it is then its not BIS set, (I know, it doesn't really make sense, since BIS stands for best in slot). However, there are pieces that are objectively better than others of the same iLv, (i.e, Crt/Det > SS/Acc unless you need the acc).

Anyways, what I am saying is that it is best to upgrade your Weapon > Body/Legs > Hands/Feet/Head > Waist > All Right side Accessories

Though this is slightly different for Paladin.

So if you have a 230 Body piece that isn't a part of your BIS, and a 230 Feet that is part of your BIS but you are unable to get your BIS body because your group can't kill the fight, then its better to upgrade the body because its effectively the BIS piece you can obtain for that slot.

Just so you know about Augmented Hellfire and Midan Gear

Both Augmented Hellfire and Midan gear are iLv240, that means they have the same amount of Strength, Vit, and secondary stat caps on Crit/Det/Acc/SS. So same piece from both sets, are effectively the same, its just preference over what attributes you want more of. (Acc Cap > Crit > Det > SS)

Thats where BIS come from, sets that prioritize the better secondary stats.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. What I understood from it is that even though I did get the Hellfire Helmet, ring and bracelet before others, as long as my stats are optimal it really shouldn't matter too much.

This is currently my BiS Solution for Monks who hit the A6S wall:

With this gearset, I can beat the A8S SSS Dummy with anywhere between 20-24 seconds remaining. This is without food and pots. Also, I use Forbidden Chakra because I have enough TP left over to warrant not using Purification.

Is there anything else I can do to further increase my DPS (besides using food and pots) or am I simply held back the gear I currently have available to me?
