This! I am about to give up on trying to raid for this reason. It's not the difficulty I have issues with, it's time and scheduling 7 other people to fit all together and then hope it will work. We need 4-man challenges!

Savage is not the only issue, dungeons are super easy and boring. They really need to stop nerfing everything and go back to his old saying: "get good!"

    Something really got to change.

yeah because all the raiders sell runs right?....i for one never sold a run ....and have been raiding since 2.0 , not even interested in selling runs....however i helped lot of recruits doing runs and friends in coil (to see the story and whatnot)

    generalizing is always BAD.

The issue with raiding is not that we need level's of difficulty, but better rewards and motivation to complete the normal mode and still be willing to follow up the Savage mode with out being bored to death.

Unless they made this game have horizontal progression all of a sudden no piece of gear should ever be worth the trouble of something like A3S or something. Even if you could customize an i245 weapon, next cycle it's weak. Even if you could add special mods like -5% cooldowns or +5 enmity once that 250 piece or 270 piece comes it's worth nothing. Even if you made gear i280 and tome gear i240 your stuff will STILL be overwritten soon. If we take into account how the Devs make this game, gear will never ever be enough. If it can be overwritten, it's not good enough

And then, you are stuck at Faust forever. There are some reasons, it is not solo queueable in duty finder.

Yeh if they put it in the DF it would be just wipe wipe wipe.

I'd like it if they made difficult content, but less punishing. Why not something that requires farming and time to pop? Why not farm items and fight these bosses as an FC in tiers? Where its still hard but not if one teeny tiny mistake you gotta start over...oh well, what do I know lol

At least with content like that you'd be able to do it with randoms...

I have no desire to engage in savage difficulty... the addition of Mythic difficulty in wow was just another reason to quit. Raiding is fine for those that like it, but I personally would prefer more non-raid based endgame content. I prefer solo and smaller scale/light group style of play. Making savage easier and then just adding yet another difficulty isn't going to incentivize me to do savage. I did the raid thing for nigh on a decade in other games and it's just not interesting to me anymore. A game that can provide me with things to do at max level that isn't raiding has the best chance of keeping my interest.

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?

Raid finder sounds exactly like DF for savage, so it's coming. Just has some more options to tailor the type of player/group you want. Faust wipes ahoy!

Mechanical density and increased class complexity are where a lot of the difficulty seems to come in to play for Midas. AS6 in particular has very high mechanical density (it has about three times the number of mechanics as something like T7 did, for instance, and many of them are disparate enough that progression on the floor doesn't prepare you for the next "phase"). AS8 is similar in density from what I've been told, but AS6 killed the joy of raiding for me, so I stepped down. When you add in that most classes are harder to play at 60 than they were at 50, the complexity compounds.

The game honestly does need a mid-tier version of the raids again. If they keep up the current difficulty (even if Midas is easier than Gordias, it's still overall more difficult than most of Coil), the raid population is going to continue to shrink. Midas is better tuned, but it's only stalled the bleeding of raiding players on smaller servers. It's not done much to really revitalize the raiding community after the damage done to it by Gordias. Savage content should indeed exist (and I don't think they should really touch Midas until Echo at this point, even if it still isn't perfect), but a vital raid scene requires the incorporation of content suited to more than just the highest echelons of player skill.

Given what we know about the development team's limitations right now, I don't know if we'll ever get something like that. But I do think we need it for the overall health of the game.
