I guess the real frustration lies in the fact that this appears to be non-prioritized. At this point, where it's really affecting playability of the game, it should have a higher priority than adding new content.
Certainly agree with you there. QoL additions/changes should always be made, at least in part, a priority. We really don't see too many of those, albeit they really aren't THAT important. I mean, new substantial content is still in demand and is rather low in quantity compared to the ideas that I'm sure they have in store for the game for the next couple years, so you have to give them at least a little leeway on that end.
When it comes to QoL things, just look at how "well" they handled RMT. Took mmm... a year(?) to add in that FR filter to stop the spam of that confirmation window. That's kind of what I am referring to on the hope thing. I suspect several more years until a proper chat filter will be in place. If something is currently working, then it'll definitely be put on the back end to alter or "fix" it, but that's reasonable in most situations.
We don't know the conditions of the workload they have or how big of a team(s) they have that would actually work with a particular QoL want. Eventually however, the time will come when the lack of proper QoL will bite them in the ass... severely. That's just how it tends to work out. Maybe we're approaching that stage, maybe not. Either way, as is common practice, they're willing to gamble it.
