Yeah. If you don't meet that utility-per-second check, the boss will wipe the raid.Am I the only one who isn't okay with their choice of buffs for this patch? On my server, Monks are STILL being the less preferred melee DPS because of their lack of utility. I even saw a PF up today that only wanted a DRG/NIN/BRD or MCH/SMN or BLM. I don't think simply increasing their DPS was the way to go.
I just find it amusing. I've already cleared Sephirot Ex multiple times and saw a "Clear" party on PF, so I was gonna go help 'em out and hopefully get a few more tokens. Until I saw they were excluding MNKs and BLMs from their group (NINs and SMNs only!).Am I the only one who isn't okay with their choice of buffs for this patch? The playerbase confuses me sometimes.

People usually exclude classes because they are going for that item. It would be stupid to exclude a monk for any other reason as Monk easily destroys in there. That fight was designed for Monk 100%. I usually end up at ~1.5k DPS (give or take) by the end of it because it the fight is so well tuned for Monks and I'm not even a great monk.I just find it amusing. Other classes that do pretty well in there include Smns, Mch, Drg, Nin. I think the fight was well tuned for a Skilled Mch too honestly.
2 MNK, MCH, SMN on SephEX is a 7m fight. The DPS is ludicrous.
Added monk's perspective on sephirot EX.
How much should i do on dummy on 215 with relic?Im around 1570 Without food and potion.any help is appreciated thanks^^
Saw this in another thread.Quick and dirty, using a base gcd of 2.5s.
And with your current sks:
Turns out I didn't even need to account for skill speed, since it's always a gain to do that.
It's an 18% increase in potency over that span either way. I of course assumed TwS and DK were both active for every hit since they should be. The biggest reason why this would be a dps loss is not because of this particular moment, but because of a later moment, when you lose greased lightning. If you - at any point - drop GL3 due to mechanics, and you burned your PB on this, you're stuck spending a far greater time ramping up than if you GL off the bat. (That is - 7 gcds at not-gl3 as opposed to 3)
I also forgot Fists of Fire, but adding a buff to every hit on either side won't change the relationship.
This led me to ask if a better opener is :
Form Shift X 3 > Snap > Perfect Balance > Snap > Demo > Tornado Kick > Snap > Snap > Snap ...
What do you guys think? The one big thing I notice is that you will end up having Dragon Kick off at least 6 More skills than you would have had previously, not to mention oGCDs, which makes me think this isn't that great of an idea but I haven't done the hard numbers.
