How to Dragoon per Second: A DPS Paradigm

Without optimizing for a 3-minute parse, I pulled ~1450 with 18% crit rate at i210 using the Brionac on A5S and fell ~2% short, no food or potions.

Changing nothing but the weapon, I went to 1512 (21% crit), killing it with ~2-3s to spare, including at the end where I accidentally did ID>ID>Dis because I'm a scrub. :B

So, if you're failing to kill the A5S dummy with the 220 spear, you're doing something wrong. I KNOW we're talking about dummy parses and my example was of a raid fight, but the fact remains that you're not gonna notice just how long you're sitting on one skill or another unless you actually record yourself and watch.

And now, with my current gear (seen here) I'm failing the A7S dummy by <1% with Flint Caviar and X-Pots ;_; One run I was at 1710 according to magic, but it wasn't enough to kill it in time, apparently. If I actually sit down and try and maximize a 3-minute parse, I could probably consistently down it.
