OK, now that I've given myself a good day to digest it...
We seem to be taking proactive action against Sephirot. That's good. One of the main problems with "heroes" is that they just react to crises instead of trying to solve them or actively make the world a better place - we're finally going at it ourselves instead of waiting for it to reach crisis levels. That phase transition is epic, too.
The Feast, despite my disdain for PvP, looks somewhat interesting and exciting. Perhaps I'll give it ago... but probably not.
Finally got a good look at the Antitower. Gotta say, it fulfilled my expectations and then some; looks like a really eldritch place, something I've really been wanting in XIV for a while now. Figured the endboss would be Calcabrina after all the talk of mammets and such in there with it also being mentioned it would be a throwback boss.
Hildibrand returns! That is all.
Alexander Midas looks pretty intense. There's a whole freakin' city in there! Aside from the techno vibe, reminds me of Aspio from Tales of Vesperia. They also have Voltron. Wonderful.
Aymeric continuing to try and reform Ishgard and end the war. Good, good, expected.
Fight scene with Raubahn amidst flames. Without context I can't really say what's going on, but I'd bet we're just sparring with him to reignite his flames or help him prove to himself that even down an arm he's still more than capable a fighter. It might end the career of any other fighter... but not Raubahn Aldynn, Flame General and Mad Bull of Ala Mhigo! It might have slowed him down, but Raubahn isn't the sort of person you can keep down.
Matoya: To win a war, you must be willing to do whatever it takes. To fight, to kill, and if necessary, to die.
Yeah, but those are supposed to be last resorts... ceasing hostilities takes precedence over winning, but as a last resort, perhaps. We fought and killed countless dragons and dragonkin on our journey. Even so, if there's a chance for peace, it has priority over outright victory... I know it's a one-way track, and I will bear the sin that others need not do so, but I will not accept "necessary sacrifices."
Everyone continues to feel the loss of Haurchefant. Thancred punching Emmanellain, probably to prevent him from doing something stupid.
Scene with the Warrior of Light in front of Hydaelyn, being told by Minfilia-Hydaelyn to "go forth and seek." Or perhaps Hydaelyn's telling both us and Minfilia that through Minfilia. But, what are we seeking...?!? Stupid deities and their cryptic bull[kupo]...
Not much else caught my eye, except for the Gnath quests. Interesting to see they take us out of the Forelands, where everything for the Vanu was in the Sea of Clouds.
