Why are low standards for dps acceptable?

Hope this isn't a double post, my post about not being embarrassed wasn't supposed to be taken as I just don't give a damn. It means I'm not going to let it get to me or make a big deal out of not knowing things about the game or performing to others standards. I will always try to play my classes better but if I screw something up or not play a class right I'm not going to be embarrassed about it. If that makes sense. Also please stop with the stupid tic tac toe reference. I see the point you are trying to make but honestly ffxiv is way more complex then tic tac toe and it really doesn't fit this scenario.

No one has a problem with people trying like you said you do. Its when people are just to lazy to bother theres problems. ANd the tic tac toe reference does indeed fit this scenario. Replace tic tac toe with rotations in FFXIV and it's pretty much the same.

It acutally fits really well. The tic tac toe aside, the attitude is spot on.

The game is a multiplayer game. It would be nice if people realised that when you decide to underperform, someone else has to pick up your slack.

At first low dps might not seem like a big issue, the things just die at slower rate, right? But the slow speed is actually making it harder for both the tank and healer. With bad dps the tank has to tank longer, which means more damage, which means the healer has to heal more, which means the healer and tank can dps less, which makes the run even slower. Basically one bad player is not just forcing others to the work, this person is also decreasing the performance of the whole team.

If you don't think it fits then you actually don't understand it.

It is very fitting to this conversation and your response to it. Knowning your skills is the easiest thing in the game. They all have discriptions of exactly what they do. You only get one at a time, and you get to practice with it for two whole levels before you get a new one.

Btw, no one, aside from some derpy few is aking people to preform perfect rotations in df, just to preform decently, which happens less often then you may think.

(Also, a half decent rotation isn't much more complicated than tic tac toe.)

Back to the very unimportant topic at hand and I say that as these post make no difference cause I bet u finished the dungeon with that BLM and the other members seemed like they wanted to just finish without all the drama...

Moral of story bads will be bad and nothing will change that sorry my friend but there will be plenty more ice mages and non Enochian mages in your future if you continually use DF...
