Why are low standards for dps acceptable?

With how fast people can level now days thanks to how easy SE has made it to get to 60 it's really not that hard to understand how people can not be comfortable or all that knowledgeable about their classes end game skills when they first reach end game. Give them a few weeks to start learning and get comfortable with it. When I first hit 60 with my DRG I didn't even know the extra job quests for level 52-60 existed, and didn't find out about it for a couple weeks.

Your are just an example of what is happening, people just dont care to progress on their job and all that want is to skip everything and going as fast as possible to lvl 60.

I might not detect that, and even if I did, I'd let that slide because it make some sort of sense (not about to run numbers in my head when I'm SCH dpsing).

Things that do make me put someone under the microscope include: no heavy thrust buff, no dancing edge/storm's, no maim, no disembowel. Basically, not doing the obvious stuff makes me question if a player does anything else right. That's the only reason I paid enough attention to one lvl50 DRG that was pressing buttons literally at random in stone vigil hard mode

There never was a single disembowel for that whole run, but a great many random impulse drives.

Oh, I agree. Some abilities are a no-brainer (NIN and Mudras). In comparison, if a NIN isn't using, say, Armor Crush, but is manually refreshing Huton with Mudras, I feel like that's his business. My THM is only 26 (since 2013), so I do not know how Enochian works (nor will I research it), but it sounds like an optional ability like Armor Crush, versus a mandatory ability like Viper or Wasp.

No, it is mandatory. Without it blackmages cannot use their level 60 rotation(fire4 and blizzard 4)

I was NIN since ROG released, and was Lv50 a few days after that. There is no info in-game about Oboro having a Lv50 quest when Heavensward released. Fortunately, I read the patch notes.

Sorry I was under the impression that the new 52-60 job quests didn't exist until HW release? If I'm wrong please correct me, oh glorious one, but I fail to see how someone, not knowing they had more job quests when they had already finished all the ones that existed previously, should be at fault for not magically knowing more unlocked. I obviously DO care or I wouldn't have gone and completed them after someone informed me they existed? Please just, gtfo.

That's informative. See, I did not know. Everyone only mentions Enochian makes you stronger, so I'm thinking a damage increase on current skills. Thank you!

There's a saying that if you CAN'T tolerate different playstyles, don't join Duty Finder.

Ignoring the core of the job is not a "different" playstyle. It's being bad and holding up the pace b/c it's my party i can do bad dps if i want to.

If it's DF, I feel the same way. If it's someone on my server, I'll mention it in tells when the run is over.
