The quicker I finish the dungeon the quicker I can move onto the next instance. It doesnt need to be an item for it to be a reward. Saving time is also a reward.
For example. 1 person finishes their dungeon in 20 mins, another in 40 mins. ( again example not actual times dungeons take.)
Player 1 has a 20 minute time period in which to do things while player 2 has to spend an extra 20 mins of time to catch up, and even when he does catch up he's got another 20 min worth of stuff player 1 has already gone on and did.
The quicker one finishes a dungeon also means the quicker they cap whatever, the quicker they get relic items I guess since thats popular at the moment. Again, just examples.
All this says is that going faster is faster. The quicker I finish the dungeon the quicker I can move onto the next instance. It doesnt need to be an item for it to be a reward. Saving time is also a reward.

That wiki link is not relevant to the question, finishing content faster does reward you. Say you're farming Alexander 1 for the Anima, you need to do it 200 times, do it once every 5 minutes and you'll get that done very quickly which is the reward, do it at 10 minutes each and it's going to take double the time to complete. Is reaching your goal faster and spending less time not a reward? All this says is that going faster is faster.
Depends. Do you prefer the journey or the destination? I prefer the journey so I'm fine with taking things slow. That wiki link is not relevant to the question, finishing content faster does reward you. The link is completely relevant because that's what circular reasoning is. It's taking the point you're trying to prove, and using it as an initial premise. You're explaining how going faster is letting you reach your reward faster. You can come up with all kinds of examples of how going faster is faster, but that doesn't link it to being rewarding except by your having simply assumed that faster is rewarding. Since that was the point you (and Andrea, and several other people at various points earlier in the thread) were trying to prove, assuming it like that destroys the argument due to the circular reasoning it creates. That wiki link is not relevant to the question, finishing content faster does reward you. If someone can come up with an argument that doesn't simply amount to "going faster is faster" or "going faster gets it done in less time" or "going faster means you don't have to spend as much time on it" or any other variations that are all exact equivalents of "going faster is faster", then maybe they'll have a point worth considering.
a: "Going faster is rewarding."
b: "why is it rewarding?"
a: "because it's faster."
The logic loophole there is so glaringly obvious I find it hard to understand how so many people could fail to see it.

Its also a matter of perspective between what the player base perceives and the devs intend, and I don't believe going 200 times through the same content over and over again for one specific purpose was the idea behind it. There's however so many years of content in the game that people can utilize, but instead people would choose the road that offers the least amount of time possible in the game with the least amount of entertainment available because they chose to see it more as a challenge than an opportunity to explore or connect with other players who are just making their rounds though it. For some people, getting their BiS gear in the fastest time possible is considered more rewarding than actually connecting with the community or exploring other aspects of the game.
Not that there's a right or wrong way to take it- to each his own. I just think its a surefire way to make you get bored of the game a lot faster.
It's rewarding because I don't have to sit in a god awful dungeon that makes me want to tear my own eyes out from sheer boredom, how's that? I don't understand why you're on this tangent, or what you're trying to prove either.
But let's say I have 2 hours to play everyday, in that time with a bad group I can clear 4 dungeons at 30 minutes each. That's 4 dungeons worth of rewards, now, let's speed that up. If we can manage to get that down to 15 minutes a run, we'd have cleared not 4, but 8 dungeons. Now, how much dungeons worth of rewards is that? Bingo, 8 dungeons worth, in the same amount of time. Which is more rewarding?

i have 12 hours to play everyday. for me it is much more rewarding to do it the slow way, because if i give 110% in every dungeon i will burn out fast and in the end doing less dungeons in the same time. for me this game is a marathon, not a sprint. i can give my maximum if i play just 2 hours a day, or in raids and stuff. but grinding dungeons over and over again? sounds more like work than playing. But let's say I have 2 hours to play everyday, in that time with a bad group I can clear 4 dungeons at 30 minutes each.
