I am not a fan that the current relic requires Poetic tomestone. Granted, it's just one method of doing it, but it's thus far the most efficient.
With the steps they've listed, I really see no reason why they've delayed the relic to 3.15
They could released each step from 3.0x to 3.15 with each step incrementally increasing the ilv/stat until it reached ilv 210
At the very least they could have released the 1st step a lot sooner than now. This way the grind would not have been too bad.
So since i dislike a single aspect about their product, i should just leave because that makes sense. The logic you are showing is so far below acceptable i will not be bothering to respond to anything else you post. Good day
So crying about it is a good idea? Attack me all you want, but crying in here won't change anything and only shows how immature people are.![]()
Yeah I'm not bothering with it past my one i200 scholar anima.
Thordon weapons are basically best in slot for the other classes I play so whatever.
There's nothing left to defend guys. Square kind of already admitted they messed up. I don't really get what you're defending at this point. You're just arguing for the sake of arguing which is.. Pretty funny, lol.
I think you are in the wrong thread friend, are you lost? If you read the first post, I say that the problem with the relic isn't the grind, but the time of release makes the weapon significantly less valuable than the other i210 weapons, and considering how hard it is to get, thats not very good design. Which leads me to:
This is true, however they said that the reason that relic is so grindy is that they compared the effort to get it to the effort of getting a gordian weapon, thus making the anima supposedly as difficult a weapon to get as gordian. The difference is that the gordian weapon has been available for 7 months already, with the i200 esoteric weapons having been available and widely obtained for about 6 months. Square have given us barely 2 months to obtain, let alone enjoy the anima weapon, which is the primary concern of this thread.
Here's how I would have designed it, I would have rearranged the relic and split it into two halves. In 3.05 I would have released Stage 1 as is, and for stage 2 I would have made it so that you must obtain 2 of the stage 3 items, this will get you your i200 weapon (unique model). Then for stage 3, which comes in 3.1 you must get the other two items, which requires you to collect items from the dungeons (same or higher drop rate than stage 1 crystals and can be used for leveling), this nets you the i210 weapon (unique model with glow).
My way is even harder than the current relic (because dungeon drops), but is staggered in a way that keeps people interested, and rewards them over a period of time. This way also looks much more manageable even though there is even more to do.
And finally:
This thread has been around since day 1 of 3.15, sorry that people expressing opinions is so hard for you to handle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Originally Posted by NatSilverguard and others

While I don't disagree with the idea that the timing for the relic weapon was wrong and SE is probably withholding a lot of information regarding what happened internally that led to the delays, one point is just ridiculous...
The relic is not hard to get. The process is merely a grind. I'm in multiple hunt, carry, and anima LSes and most of the people who have been diligently at work on it already have it. Personally, I'm sitting at 63/80 while pacing myself and will probably have my relic in another 4-5 days of pretty casual grinding (beast tribes, hunts, roulettes, and some carries).
That's a week or two worth of work. Ask any A4S clearing group how much time they invested into clearing A4S.
Comparing the time and gil I've invested into clearing A3S and A4S progression to what I've invested into the relic, it's not even close. I've spent far more time and resources on raiding than I will ever spend on this relic. It's not equivalent.
Did you not read what I posted? Your post is subjective and doesn't address the point that my post is a reworking and analysis of what yoshi P said in the live letter, so yes, according to the developers, the anima is supposed to be as difficult to get as the rest of the i210 weapons, whether you personally find it more or less challenging is beside the point.
