They've pretty much said Gobdip is going into Void Ark at some point. So you're likely to get it then.

And as a non-raider, the timing was right when Alex Savage released, or shortly after. Have to wait this long, and seeing the requirements, it's not worth it. And yet I've been starving for something of worth to do since effectively Alex normal, since my schedules don't line up well with normal play times. Even if I wanted to do the third step, I effectively would have to drive myself past broke and have no time to recoup costs, even if stat wise I could craft everything myself.

That's not fair to raiders at all. People had this relic in three days. With a moderate investment of maybe a few hours a day worth of farming, you could have it within a month. How much time, how much gil, and how long did it take the best raiders in the world to clear A4S?

If you want the relic to be on par with raid weapons and have the same release time, then you better be prepared for an equivalent investment. And, I can be pretty sure that if you think the current requirements are bad, you will not be ready for the grind SE will be forced to implement to gate the relic appropriately to match raid content. We're talking about a month+ worth of farming at 8+ hours a day and hundreds of millions of gil.

Or SE could have bring step 1 and 2 with Alex S and save up step 3 for 3.15

many groups killed a4s about 16 weeks ago, everyone of them got his/her weapon 4-2 months ago

I think its fair if casuals can get the same stuff with 2 months of delay

The problem is that casual are getting the relic quest started not 2 months into a current ilvl release, but 2 months before the ilvl increases(which is 4 months in SE's timetable)

The same amount of people had gordian weapons in just a couple of weeks. Working on isolated cases and working on averages is two different things. For the masses, especially the masses without a zeta, the reward is of the same standard.

The problem with gaining data is that those who own an alex ilvl 210 weapon are getting relic weapon too, you cant compare if not counting only those who did not beat as4...
Looking at how they count serverpopulation i fear they just do same mistake with relic counter...

There is also the fact that while the difficulty of a particular raid tier may be variable, the amount of grind on goes through with their relic is always at the same point in time.

If a world first group finishes alex midas inside of a week, then no one really cares about how much worse the relic takes, since raiders already have their raidy weapons. But if the same group finishes in a month, then it HAS to be worse, or its "not fair"? I think that sounds ridiculous.

Define "many". A very large majority of groups/people that attempted Savage never made it past A3S.

the majority of hc raiders (well known groups) did it about 16 weeks ago, there were a couple of groups that beated a4s right after imitating lucrezias strategy

That isn't many. That is a very small portion of this games population.
