    That's fine.
    I am a full time crafter, so I am more concerned with the dev team brutalising that aspect of the game. The previous battle system sucked too anyway (hence the crafting), and I was merely interjecting to say it was bad idea to remake the combat system into one that still wasnt fun.

    Why they thought it was a good idea to waste 6 months on autoattack is beyond me.

    You make it sound like FFXIV's combat is an algebra equation that only the Queen and you are allowed to like, and that's probably one factor which will influence FFXIV's eventual downfall.

    Whatever the case, it's not like auto attack was the only thing they where doing for those 6 months, and the combat system isn't complete either, but it's defiantly a step up from release.

    I vote when 1.19 comes out Yoshi and his team should have a celebration party, both for getting 1.19 out and for FFXIV being out for a year, they should all dance around the office cheering whilst playing this.

    Would be so much fun to watch

    It's not some obscure pop-culture reference, if that's what you meant, but it was a reference to the pretentious, holier-than-thou attitude some people have when talking about autoattack and their "acquired taste" thereof.

    And I don't think combat is really that much of an improvement since before patch 1.18. Enmity changes were good, but the whole combat system just got pretty boring. And it was already boring to begin with.

    Auto attack isn't an acquired taste.
    It's a feature that lets you chat while attacking and a feature found in most RPG's, MMO or otherwise.
