    No, as was pointed out in an earlier reply in this thread, SE almost certainly wants to avoid the very clear potential abuse of kicking people into a 2 hour lockout as a griefing tactic. There's isn't a perfect solution to this problem, leeches will always find a way to leech, the more counter measures you implement, the more you impact legitimate players.

    P.S. to avoid Leeches, there is a simple solution, don't take any Scholars along....

    As someone who enjoys gathering and battling i dont understand why other gatheres dont just make a premade party in PF?

    Make a gathering only party. Thats what i did. It was super fun. Usually gathering is such a solo thing but this made it not so

    It wouldn't be so bad if party members not contributing didn't make it harder to get sufficient credit on the monsters, especially the rank Vs and star-ranked ones. The enemies are clearly designed with a full party in mind, at least a full party's worth of DPS, so it can end up causing the group as a whole to get less shots at Gold chests.

    If they adjust the metrics so that it's easier to get full credit with a group of 4-6 people, it would probably feel better overall and I wouldn't mind people going in only to gather as much (though honestly I'd still mind it to a degree, as in the end it's probably going to mean fewer chests for everyone still).

    The problem with this sort of argument is just the reverse: Why don't battle classes make a premade party if they don't want any DoL in their group?

    DF is there for ease of queuing. Just select your class and go.

    Conversely, limiting solo queues to battle classes only might not be such a bad thing. Mostly I say this as it seems apparent the content was designed with group cooperation in mind, but the DF tends to be more of an 'everyone for themselves' tool.

    But there is. The PF. Tired of DoL not pulling their weight? Make your own party. Tired of being forced to fight or harassed bc you want to gather? Make your own party. Its like ppl forget this is an mmorpg and they have to actually talk and interact with other humans.

    This whole letting ppl go in as a solo. Defeats the point of an mmorpg.

    that looks like the solution.

    make PF groups for no gathering. and tell everyone who joins that if they switch to a gathering class, everybody else blacklists them.

    if more people start doing that you'll have more people who will do PF for gatherers.

    The way to fix this should be to make two seperate queues. One for gatherers and one for combat classes. Allow flying from the very beginning for both groups, disable job changingm and allow stealth to work for gatherers.

    Works only in theory.. since you can switch jobs in there. People would join and then troll everyone else by switching to a gathering class.

    That was what I understood was supposed to happen based upon the Live Letters. I know that I made that point in the other thread and I'm very disappointed to hear that it is not the case.

    Gatherers can find treasure chests that require no fighting and go into the general loot pool too but it seems that they're not common enough to compensate. Maybe if all eight people gather the the chests will be as common as during fights? It's worth examination.
