no problem. I only do expert roulette as a summoner because I don't like slow run.

And I'll surely report them for harrassment when that happens ^^ did you know that not doing speedruns is not a valid reason for kicking someone and you can get reported to a GM?

Saddens me to read that. I don't know which type of Tank person you got that made you believe this, as not all Tanks are the same, but to.. abuse?
Our role is to 'lead' the party. not the 'people'. Then we need to generate enough enmity to ensure the safety of everyone so all can DPS to their fun.
If you go like that, clearing all the mobs everytime a bunch shows up, you get to the first, second and last boss, and then you clear it with no one that died, I think for me my job is done, so is the healer, and so is the DPS.
I wonder what kind of behavior outside of this you got from Tanks.
Those that wants to rush into all, I don't mind, just pull. if you die (cause my GF will heal and she'll stop right there) you will learn that you must use your cooldowns for less enmity if you have it on your job (2nd), and.. to wait that the Tank will get them (1st). Then you'll have to walk/run to us again, wasting our time.
If you cannot live with that, and that the dungeon like the Vault will take 30 mins with me (trying to get the WHM cool glamour weapon so I do it with my lvl 60, gives me nothing besides a few glamour and some gil), then please leave if you see my name; so we won't waste each other's time.
Outside of this, I will be more than happy to Tank for everyone! Be nice to all, and you shall receive the same respect.
EDIT: you wrote this:Now, it's me that will leave if I see your name. Not because I am a Diva, far from it, but you seems stuck to pull things on your own, and that doesn't work for me. Good luck with others that will enforce your idea of 'Diva Tanks' lolQuote Originally Posted by Evangela View Post

Seems it's not Tanks the problem in your case. *hands a mirror
Unlucky for you when trying to kick, the third one is my healer GF lol

except it's not a ToS violation, confirmed by a GM.

I tank mostly with friends so I don't have to deal with the preconceived notion of what I should or should not pull. Duty Finder is for all types and skill levels and if you don't like what you get, then go with your own group.
Still not a BLM or BRD. SMN actually makes me sad to see in the part make up. You get excited that it's a BLM and then you realize it's only a Summoner.
WHAT A BUMMER!
And this what a good tank would do
1. Have a look at the party's jobs and HP levels
2. If nobody speaks up, do a small pull first if you get no caster, or the group ilvl looks questionable; do a medium pull if you got at least one caster
3. Base on the result of the first pull to decide the pulling pace afterwards: if the member all know what they are doing, pull as many as possible (which more than often won't happen); on the other extreme, if nobody knows how to aoe, or the healer is totally incompetent, pull group by group
Most, if not all dungeons are designed so that you CANNOT 'overpull', and running the same dungeon over and over makes it completely waste of time if you don't do it as efficient as possible.
I usually let them tank it if they pull it when I am tank. I don't heal ninja pullers when I am healer. When I dps I always make sure to respect the tanks' pace and dps the targets they set.
Tanks with good gear that can safely pull large groups of mobs tends to do so because they have played the game longer. Tanks that pull small are usually still in their learning curve and I am much better served giving them a better time than making it harder. We've all been new once.
I can think of two dungeons of the top of my head that you can easily 'overpull'. Don't say silly things. Not to mention, any healer that can't heal means it's an over pull. In Brayflox HM, some people can tank the entire first part with a great healer. Other people can't even get to the ramp.
Haha, this is such a good point. By the time you bicker with the current tank, kick, and then wait for your replacement - you more than likely would have already finished the dungeon in question.Go ahead and pull mobs ahead of me when I'm tanking. I have other things to do and don't mind leaving. How's that extra time waiting fora replacement tank working for your speed run now?
I find it extremely confusing how people can wait in a queue for 10-15 minutes to get a party and then bitch because the dungeon could be done 2 minutes faster. If your time was that precious, you wouldn't tolerate waiting in the queue in the first place.
I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm assuming most of the people demanding speed/perfect runs don't have a tank, or if they do, they can't be bothered to use it for roulettes. If you're so concerned about how the tank plays, level one yourself and queue as nothing else. Problem solved.
