lol. Do you think FFXIV is your safe space? What gives you the right to think you're the leader? It's all the damage mitigation and healing ability you have, right? Sorry, but DPS is literally the worst class in the game. You're just gonna have to face this doggy dog world. For all intensive purposes DPS are a diamond dozen. I have zero taller ants when it comes to DPS being a bunch of pre-Madonnas when their class can literally do nothing other than push buttons with no care in the world. Playing a DPS is a peach of cake.

By all means ! Please ! But you forget one thing : for you to enjoy killing and show off your master DPS to all, you need a wall to avoid running around trying to avoid a high damage blow from a mob at the same time and that wall is the tank. Even for a healer it will become a nightmare to keep someone like you alive ! For me your reasonning is lacking strongly. And in a perfect group most of the heals goes to the tank and few go to the others and thats the way for a healer to be comfortable in a dungeon. And thats the job of a tank : to make everyone comfortable while on a... SPEED RUN for example... We tank dont have your DPS, thats a fact. But thats for sure that you don't have a tank defense/parry...

Do you actually ask for a speedrun or bigger pulls? Or do you just pull?

There's a point where it's less about what role you play and more about how you treat other players, and how willing you are to cooperate and work as a team. A party should decide what they are comfortable with.

Everyone in this thread is making it seem like the tank is the only person with an issue. I'm sure that is not the case. As well, many factors come into play in DF parties and, sometimes, speedruns aren't the best option (tank having aggro issues or almost dying; healers unable keep up with the healing; DPS with... bad dps; or even just bad aoe composition [two melee DPS]).

I know this beating a dead horse, but... if you reaaally can't stand normal dungeon runs then run with a pre-made party. If not, then learn to work with what you've got. Respect the fact that not everyone plays the same as you (not excusing people who don't try to learn to play their jobs properly, but they are a reality when you use DF).

Actually I can solo many, many things. It's pretty impressive what a PLD can do by himself. However, the healer has power to veto a tank so at no time can a tank truly run rampant. It's the DPS that has no words and for good reason.

Sure, as I feel appropriate. Not the way a non-AOE DPS wants to move. The literal worse DPS to run a dungeon with. I'll take two BLMS or BLM BRD over any dps with crappy AOE abilities.
