Why not? They're mechanical devices and we have several skilled engineers on hand that could modify it to make it fly I'm not mistaken. Seems pretty logical to me.

Garleans had some skilled engineers as well, why didn't they make them fly then??

Magitek is mechanical and probably modular. We had a quest to re-enable it's weapons, there's probably a quest to add flying capability to it. That's a hell lot more reasonsable than taking a generic hoarhound, naming it something, and making it fly (where as kirin, and by extension, primal ponies, are magical and mythic). Next thing you know you want flying gigantoads too, and no body likes that. Not even gigantoads.

Hell lot more reasonable for YOU perhaps, but it doesn't mean that it has to apply to anyone else.

You people act very hurt/defensive for something that wouldn't actually hurt anyone if the Fenrir mount could fly.
It would be the same as me asking SE to change their plans and not implement these mounts as flying mounts but ask them to implement totally new flying mounts instead. I am sure that there are more people out there that are not a fan of these mounts, and if we all got support to make SE change their mind how would you like that?

What I am trying to say here is, you can apply any logic you want. If SE wants, they can make every mount fly. Even if you personally wouldn't like some mounts be able to fly, some people do like it.
We can all support eachother in ideas, it wouldn't hurt anyone.

I personally don't like the Fenrir mount, I am just supporting the idea to make the mount more useful if you made so much effort to get it.
I am sure SE can make something up to make them able to fly.
