    My Wish List:
    1. Bonus for completing: Let us use our old Relic Zeta as the "base" weapon and the stats if that is even part of the new Relic...that would be fair.
    2. More interesting Quests for completing the Relic...(no more just running old content for LIGHT...that sucked...don't want to grind on old content. Give us new trial fights like in the original relic quest please).
    3. Not heavily reliant on crafters so that is costs us millions to finish a step. I almost have all my crafters to 2-star 3.0 crafting but not everyone does.
    4. Something like the Book Step but a little more interesting stuff.

    Sounds good lol. Seriously, if this game was like Demon's Souls I would have murdered a few NPC's already. That lalafel B**** in Mor Dhona who kept sending us to find new stuff for her clients and then criticizing them for being dirty and such so she'd have an excuse to have us fetch her more would make the top of the list. Out of all the zodiac quest givers, I hated her the most because her dialogue was infuriating and you knew that she had the item you needed in her pocket the whole time. You could have just killed her and made off with it instead of putting up with her BS.

    I think a lot of people liked the books in the original relic quests. I liked them too, when I started them, but they got really REALLY repetitive after the first couple. Of all the steps in the quest, the books were the least terrible, I'd say, but they'd have been a lot better if they hadn't been the same thing over and over. Repeating dungeons and enemies was boring, especially when almost all of the mobs were in small groups. Waiting for the same 3-4 enemies to re-spawn over and over seemed unnecessarily grindy. It was like SE was going out of their way to find cheap ways to extend the quest and make it as long as possible, regardless of difficulty. A quest similar to books would be great, but, this time, it would be nice if they didn't make it so repetitive and follow the exact same format. It would have been nice if one book had dungeons and trials, the next had enemies and hunts, the next was FATEs... or better yet, each individual book is it's own quest with it's own set of requirements. change it up with each book. Don't just follow a cookie cutter format for each one.

    That would be nice. Riddles is an interesting idea, but anything is fine for me as long as it's not the same thing 100 000 x.

    ATMA/Zodiac phases take the cake for being the worst hated things in the original relic for me (with Zodiac leading), and the Zodiac item grind was so absolutely awful that it actually made me not want to play the game. I did so many runs of AV, DD, and Hullbreaker (more than 50 each, with DD being the worst at close to 70. I stopped counting at 64) that I almost gave up entirely, and now I NEVER want to run them again. That's just bad design in my opinion. A game's content should keep the player wanting to come back, not actively encourage them to give up and play something else.

    Whatever they do for the new quests, I hope it is something that gets me hooked on continuing. For me this means 2 things. 1. A intriguing and compelling lore/story. One of the reasons I've liked the Expansion so much is because the story was infinitely more interesting than the original. Give me a good lore to sink into, and I'll be more interested in completing the quest you give me so I can see where it goes. 2. is a varied set of tasks. I think that's why the 1st stage of relic and the ATMA book stage was so much more appreciated by the community. It wasn't just the same thing an infinite amount of times over and over. There were dungeons, trials, mobs, and FATEs. The only problem (for books at least) was that every book was the same. If they could come up with something like the books but had a more varied set of tasks than it would be better and less repetitive.

    For me, this is an obvious must given the effort you have to put in just to get the weapon, and custom stats pretty much seals that deal.

    My Zeta weapon easily outclassed the equivalent Dreadwyrm weapon because of the stats I chose. It took a lot of thought and calculation to figure out which stats I would take the most advantage of with Dread/Aug Ironworks gear, and the materia costs I needed to get the stats I wanted was astronomical, but once I had it all figured out there was no comparison to the Dread weapon. It was especially noticeable for when I was playing with other tanks. It was adorable to watch someone in full Dread set trying to hold aggro against my Zeta.

    That being said, my weapon was almost too powerful sometimes. I often stole aggro by accident while in Sword Oath when playing with average geared tanks. I'd end up Main Tanking in SO a lot of the time, even though I hadn't been the tank that started the fight. It wasn't a huge deal in most fights, but some Tank swap mechanics got a little annoying to work around.

    Said everything I wanted to say...
    -I want my hardwork to carry over to the new relic, let me keep the stats I worked hard to put in.
    -More 8-man or even solo trials, catered to each weapon/job.
    -No Crafting steps or desynth or anything not related to battle classes. Lets not mix the 2 and shoehorn in new things.
    -Fun and intresting story. I like the little bit of lore they gave, and would love more of it. They are legendary weapons afterall, I'd like to hear more about how they came to be, and who wielded them.

    Don't care what it looks like, don't care what its called or if it glows. Let me either retain what I already put in it or continue customized stats or the relic will no longer be of interest to me. Not meant as a angry"give me x or riots" post, the only reason I did the previous relic was its 100% versatile stats. No customizing = no personal interest.

    Indeed. The reward is why people take up the quest in the first place, but a good story is what gets people interested in getting from one individual step to the next.

    Another Idea that came to me from your post is the notion of not just keeping your custom stats from your old weapon, but, if that's not possible, perhaps allowing us to reassign our custom stats to the new weapon with no cost/penalty. Given the Millions upon Millions of Gill I dumped into my weapon, and the extra Millions of Gill they'd have expected me to spend if I ever wanted to change those stats, I think it's fair that us Zeta folk get a free pass on this in the new relic.

    Lastly, the 8 man or even solo trials. Yes please. I'm especially interested in the idea of doing solo trials. I'm not sure if you meant instanced fights or not, but I think it would be interesting for them to utilize the "unsynced" function of the game and have us fight certain bosses solo. It's unlikely, since they're all about trying to force us to run old content for the sake of new people (especially us tanks), but it would be cool if they actually wanted us to fight a Trial solo for the reward... not sure how that would work for healers, mind you.
