Uhm.. Pretty sure you can't get eso/law before 60. So infact if you get the gear you *CAN* use it.You know, I am fairly certain I've gone through a new dungeon and obtained gear I cannot use until I grind out the levels for the Job. Fairly certain I could use Law/Esoterics to buy Summoner gear I cannot use, as well, until I grind Summoner to 60. I have to grind Summoner to 60 before I can use that awesome AF2.
PvP is different. You can get the gear by PvPing but CANNOT use it.

Explain all that casting/tank gear that Neverreap insists I have constantly then
Also
If I buy a SMN Eso piece right now, which I can do because my Bard is to 60, I still wouldn't be able to use it because my ACN class is only 57.
This thread can also be titled (in my case): "Please let me use Ironworks Monk gear on my lvl 15 Pugilist, thanks"

You cannot gain the tokens until your level 60. So in fact you "can" wear it when you earn it.Are you bringing this out of the pvp subsection as well? You have not earned the right to wear it simply because you obtained the currency. That's like me saying I should be able to use lvl 60 scholar gear just by buying it with law eso tomes. I'm sure you wouldn't be as bothered by this if you had a rank requirement to purchase the pvp gear, since you seem fixated on the point that if you can buy it, you can use it
A similar system would be to wear Savage Alexander gear you need to do it 100 times.

No. I can get the tokens at level 60. I can use it to buy scholar gear, but I can't use it if my scholar is not level 60. And again, you haven't done any "hard work" to earn the ability to equip those PvP pieces, because you don't have the rank for it. The currency isn't even the hard work part.
The only person that's making apple and orange comparison is you with this bit.
Considering that I'm Rank 40 after 300 or so meaningful matches (that is, on one GC), and I don't PvP every day for every hour of the day (because I actually hate how PvP is setup, I'm only gunning for the ADS mount), I'm probably putting less effort than most would-be serious PvPers.
OP wants to be able to wear PvP gear as soon as he gets enough currency to buy it, even though it has rank attached to it. Because apparently, getting enough currency should be more than enough justification to wear something that provides (a rather significant boost) in wolves den.

Your comparing apples to oranges.

>I can buy my class' appropriate gear and use it immediately, granted I have that class leveled to 60. Your PvP rank is your PvP level, gained from earning PvP EXP. You want to wear rank 50 stuff without being rank 50.
YES, but you can buy your "class's appropriate gear" and use it IMMEDIATELY.
Even at level 50 Rank in PvP you cannot use the gear you don't have levels for.
Your comparing apples to oranges. Find a more appropriate comparison, one has nothing to do with the other.
I want one small part of the game to be like the rest of the game. I don't see why that is "BAD". The rest of the game is designed good, this is designed poorly.
>Because that small part of the game is supposed to be separated from the rest of the game. PvE and PvP.
Truth to be told, they're both separate instances in the game and have their own qualifications and statistics. We shouldn't be comparing the two, but you keep saying that you earned the right to wear it with your "hard work" when you don't have the PvP rank to show for it.

It seems like they are doing exactly opposite of what your saying.>I can buy my class' appropriate gear and use it immediately, granted I have that class leveled to 60. Your PvP rank is your PvP level, gained from earning PvP EXP. You want to wear rank 50 stuff without being rank 50.

I don't get what point people are trying to make with this, don't you still need the class at 60 to use their PvP gear? I can't wear Monk PvP gear of my Ninja Job.Explain all that casting/tank gear that Neverreap insists I have constantly then
Also

Let me put it this way, PvP Rank is literally your PvP Level.
Yes you still need Lv60 in order to use any of this stuff, but Lv60 Ninja is PvE content, you cannot really EXP 1-60 in PvP. You raised your PvE Level to 60, in PvE, and farmed PvE rewards.
Unless you've hit the cap, whenever you PvP you gain EXP towards your PvP Rank. Like I said, it's literally your PvP Level. In the same way you require Lv32 to wear Infantry gear, or Lv50 to wear High Allagan, you require a certain PvP Level to wear PvP gear. However that isn't the case, because they've shown they'll remove the Rank Requirement with time, which kind of makes this entire thread irrelevant to begin with... Point is, we have a stupid system where PvP gear also requires a PvP Level. Either you put the effort in to reach that "level" to wear the gear, or you don't. It's that simple.
Honestly, it's a broken system to begin with. To me, the OPs suggestion is like seeing a crack on a vase and deciding to smash it completely. Nobody gets to enjoy it anymore (because queues die as a result) and its simply instant gratification for the person who got to smash it (the OP, who now never touches PvP again having no need to actually raise their Rank). I'd rather they bring in a better replacement, but they're probably just going to (continue) with the cheap band-aid fixes, that are far more work then necessary...
This development team really likes giving themselves more work than they need to... Right now PvP suffers because they're going for the same theme-park style approach they've opted for with PvE, when PvP really should be more sandboxy (and PvE really should be a mix, but that's another topic). They've set up a system where we grind up to a Rank, get some gear as a reward, then they raise the Rank and add new gear along with a new theme-park ride. It's stupid, I like Seal Rock, but I'd still rather they take the development time they put into designing the game mode plus new map, and instead applied that effort to refining Wolves' Den, Secure and Slaughter. PvP does not need new modes every patch and new Ranks with new gear. It needs good modes that people want to, and have reason to (I'd do that by making it so you have to maintain your Rank), come back to. Churning out Secure, then Slaughter, then Seize, then Siege, then whatever (I assume they're going for an S theme here), while the previous game mode dies out each time, really shouldn't be what anyone wants. Not the players, and not the developers, for some reason that's what they're set on doing though...
