By allowing the airship to remain instant it drops any need to ever use Anima in a city to warp to another city, conserving you Anima to spend on other things that make the game easier. So yeah...it does make things easier.

If people had to wait a few minutes "Hell even a minute lol" to move from city-city I can guarantee a large number of people would still deem the use of their time more precious than the use of anima and warp from city-city still. Therefor cutting them short of anima and the abillity to travel without the dreaded "Walking" mechanic the game has.

getting somewhere faster does not make the ogre easier... it does not make leves star 5 easier. FNM are not easier because of airship travel it makes travel faster.

It's making them rush the game to finish the little content we have in this game. More anima, more easy travel. I wonder if people are actually going to use Chocobos. Funny, with all these people wanting instant teles and instant rides, you think they won't.

What you do not understand is some people WANT to rush content. that is what is fun to them. If everyone had one and only one way to play a game with no choices it would fail. Let them rush content. Its not your problem worry about yourself. Do the content how YOU want to do it. Then you will be much happier.

A personal attack of get over yourself? Seriously? Are we in high school? I want people to stay in this game, like Jynx said and I was going to bring up, longer than a patch by patch thing and finishing content too fast is not going to help. This has nothing to do with what "I WANT" but more of how it won't benefit the game in the long run

I can't even start to begin where you got off on that tangent. More anima makes things easier to do plain and simple, yes getting to a place takes some effort wether it's your or the poor sap you /follow and AFK on.

stop saying things i never said. i never said i want a patch to be done in a week i said faster travel does NOT equal harder.

If the people want to rush content and thats what THEY want to do then they will do it in ff14 or leave and do it in another game. My point is if SE wants a large fanbase you can not ONLY make a game with time sinks (ff11 Pre Asea) but you need a game that caters to BOTH the harcore and the casuals. (WoW. and thats why they are number 1 by over 10 million subs and ff11 strugges to keep 500k subs)

So in closing if adding an option (You getting angry about an option for holy's sake) to skip an airship ride pleases the masses then so be it.

How can you assume the "Masses" want this? We can't speak for the rest of the players in the game and it's pretty much a 50/50 split between our two sides of the fence.

I never "Put words in your mouth" I asked you a legitimate question, if content is at the fingertips of everyone adding more content wont do much to add longevity to the game if it's completed in less than a week. I never said you wanted patches on a weekly basis.

I'm just pointing out the flaws in the direction that this type of pandering can lead too.

I'm not angry about the situation at all (I'm not sure why you think I am) I actually relish being able debate about this too see both sides of the fence. While I may be on one side of it doesn't mean I'm angry that another person doesn't agree with me. Only a child would get upset at someone who doesn't agree with them.

Too a further extent, FFXIV is not WoW and will never have the same player base as WoW. They could have released the game and called it WoW 2.0 and still wouldn't have the same player base as WoW. Blizzard is allready developing a new MMO to capture their audience because the crux of their system is that WoW can't hold players for much longer (3 more years tops before it starts to spiral) Hell it's allready loosing subscribers overall and their newest expansion has seen the least sales of the series so far.

FFXIV is not FFXI, while that may be I'm allowed to ask for a similar feel if thats what I want from the game, I don't speak for everyone else I speak for myself. I think you need to stop trying to speak for the general populace by stating it's what "The masses" want. You have as much idea of what they want as I do.

Start posting for yourself and not the community, all of my ideas and threads are thing I think would make the game better not what I think the community wants. Only a naive fool would try and make himself out to represent the games population. I can't speak for the silent players of the game, they have every right to speak up if they want too just as much as I do.
