This reminds me a lot of FFXII's gambits. So many people complained about them even though you can turn them off completely or customize them to the point where they aren't completely playing the game for you if you don't want them to or are if you do. Apparently FF fans do not like options for some reason.

OMG my point im much beter words. How can you debate that giving people EXCATLY what you want and EXCATLY what they want is wrong???? YOU are getting what you want. Wow im at a loss thats why i can not even keep posting to them, they are hard headed people who ONLY want the game to be how they want it. And i am sorry to say its not gonna be that way.

Way to totally cop out some sort of insult while we are trying to actually debate stuff. It's funny when someone comes up to a person who doesn't agree with them they feel it's "Offensive" to be on the other side.

I'll say it again, I'm not "Complaining" I'm making sure my point is layed out for the developers to see if they ever read the thread and too make my opinion known to everyone on the forum. People are free too agree or dissagree with me, I'm not mad, I'm not upset at what the developers are doing, I may not agree but I'm not throwing a hissy fit about it.

The best way to get your way to be the right way is to demonize the oposition, your trying really hard to do that aren't you?

I don't see too many (There will be a few of course) people saying that options are a bad thing, people are saying they think it should be limited and controlled. Hell I got no beef against teleportation as long as I can't do it all day long.

I guess it's just easier to walk away though than to tell people.

We know you think we are some sort of plebian race of basement dwellers, who have nothing but time on our hands. Chances are that that is farther from the truth, I worked full time and had a decent social life during my time with XI and I still enjoyed traveling on foot or chocobo, I enjoyed the vistas and being able to walk around and see something new that I never knew existed.

Hell in XIV I was the first guy to find out efts 'Used too" agro by sound and could be avoided! Man I love that kind of stuff and it's a shame it's being removed because it's not "Convient" for players.

Monsters with unique AI? Ahhh...but I don't like it when the nanygoats follow me, instead of suggesting a solution GET RID OF IT!

Maps are bland I hate moving around them...well instead of asking them to put map design on the forefront of change LET ME WARP EVERYWHERE!

Im not copping out im sayng your being totally selfish. SE is GIVING you the ride you want while they are giving me the airship ride i want. You are saying they should ONLY give the ride the way YOU want it.

The debate is wether the option effects the game as a whole, and I beleive it does. Sorry you don't agree man.

Immersion isn't just some word that people made up here to attack others with or something.. (It's a little amusing that some are acting so offended by the word. There is no personal attack going on.) Immersion is what makes an RPG an RPG. Instant transportation does take immersion down a notch.

This is just me, but I don't understand how anyone would have fun playing an RPG and not enjoy the lore and feel and scenery of the game. The thought is just... foreign to me. That sounds like an FPS to me. You just play it to play it, not to take time and enjoy the world.

(Kudos to those who can state their opinion on these forums without attacking others'.
It's good to know that some people can still be mature and polite on the internet where we are anonymous.
Treat others the way you would like to be treated. ;3)

I don't know why it's so hard for some people to stay civil. Are these people in real life the same? Do you have to hit someone (verbally) just because they don't agree with you?

This is a forum for discussion's sake. Just state your opinion and/or debate. In the end the devs will just count the votes whether you insult someone or not. And it also doesn't make your opinion more valid.

Every possible change ever effects the game as a whole, but is it necessarily a negative impact? Well, I certainly don't think so.
People getting places faster doesn't suddenly make the game worse... or shouldn't if the game is well-designed. Unless of course you're on a specific quest where for some reason that is the point of the quest and all they'd need to do is restrict airship/anima usage while the quest is active. Simple.

[I personally don't believe there should even be those kinds of quests unless it's something like smuggling stuff on the airship (with there actually being some skill-based method of success) or a race or something like that. Something that requires focus/concentration/skill rather than just walking just to walk or riding an airship just to do it.]

I think they actually had that in XI. If you didn't use the airship or chocobo you'd fail either because you didn't get there in time or the item was "damaged" via warping or something.

If they want to create content that is based around utilizing the airship I'm fine with this. Forcing a ride/cutscene is pointless if there's nothing to do.

What in-game related feature/item do you wish you could use in the real world?
