it's true, if we only see this through the eyes of a raider.
more tools to do content is always better for the players.
the reasons players have for raiding is irrelevant.
they might do so for story, gear, or just the satisfaction from doing it.
and putting content in DF will reach a larger player base than just putting it in PF.
    PF has it's own problems.
PF only includes people from one server, that's a far smaller number of players compared to DF that takes player from the whole data center.
PF might not have the role you want to play open, PF might not have an open party depending on your play time. Other people might be done with the content you're trying to do. and so on and so on.
we just want to clear hard stuff
why do you seem to think that people who use DF don't want that too?
hell, those "non-raiders" might even turn to raiders after trying it in DF.
Still don't get why so many raiders don't get that.

for SE though, it's about making the most profit out of their game.
so they'll want to extend the life of the game for as long as possible.

Yoshida probably understands what we want, but he still has responsibility towards the company he's working for.

A wider pool of players to join with just makes the groups form quicker, it doesn't make any difference to your chances of getting good or bad teammates.
at least most people have to prepare themselves before joining PF groups, unless they want to get booted and ruined their reputation on their home server.

You seem to think of everyone who uses DF as either a troll or a terrible player.

    Feel free to use PF.
In fact, please stay as far away as possible from DF

Doing difficult content through Duty Finder is far, far more likely to make a non-raider go "This is a terrible experience, I want to stay as far away from this as possible" than "Wow, this is great, I want to do more of this!"

We need more hard content that will never see duty finder that's the real problem right now the raids are just a short walk to the boss kill said boss move to next short instance. Then repeat this is not a good design.

What does that have to do with the duty finder?... WoW does LFR through their raid finder, and they have 4 bosses each with trash in between IIRC. It's a design choice, not a duty finder restriction. Would I prefer the raid be massive in size, and actually have the raid parts connected similar to CT, with fairly random trash (like dungeons, not CT), yes, for the first time absolutely. When I'm farming it for loot? No, especially when I only need something from boss 3 or 4.

I really don't agree with this mindset, if people want to try the content then they should be able to. Even if they don't win they might learn something. Obviously DF will never be the go-to place to get your extreme/savage encounter wins but at least it gives people a chance to practice the fight.

I have a static though so really not a big deal to me, but I agree with the OP anyways.

    depends on the person really.
you can't just paint everyone in the same color.
and even if they go like that, at least they have the choice to do so.
difficulty of content should not affect content being in DF.

and what about raiders that prefer to do it in DF?

They aren't raiders then. Being a raider implies actually being in a raid group, and duty finder is the exact opposite of that.

This really isn't even a big deal since party finder exists, make a practice group and do it.

It's really really fun to have friends that are on the same level of content as you are. :3
And this is what I would like, but with work and life, it's next to impossible without DF. The only way I could reliably raid the way you're suggesting is if I could convince 8 people who are guaranteed to be on the same schedule as me, and when you have to work a soccer field to 11:30 one night, a beach until 8PM another, a music club until 5AM another, and having your days off be ??? and ???, you begin to feel really left out of the experience. I'd love to just go in and get my feet wet.
