If there will be another open caps for every job, it will force me to do all of them. I am allready doing ESO + red scripts caps ( you can do redscripts if you are bored) and I dont wanna another caps which I have to do every week. So please no.

Ok, so you enjoy playing the game so much you're doing ~10 runs Tue/Wed (so that others might think you're 'rushing'), but you don't know 'what the hell to do' if you're on cap and ask yourself why you're still paying subs, if you can't get more tomes/week. Aha. Doesn't sounds like that much fun to me. ^^why would they? it's there if you want to do it, its about choice, i know it feels good to see your tome stats say 450/450 at the end of the week, its fulfilling, but i can see that number after 2 days, then wonder what the hell do i do now, well i shouldn't be rushing...i'm not rushing i just enjoy the game, i play it alot, sure i can logoff and play other games, but i want to play this game! we're paying a monthly sub for this damn game for gods sake

This guy managed in his own post to highlight exactly what is wrong with the current generation of gamers... "I like it, but there's no point to do it unless I get a cookie." Sorry to say, but if you're not willing to do something without a material reward, then you don't actually like it.
wrong, there's always incentive in the things people do, no matter what it is in life, no one does something for the hell of it, no matter how big or small the incentive it's always there, whether personal or otherwise, there has to be something there to keep you coming back, the current generation are the ones who want everything for nothing, i'm not current generation, i'll probably older than you, i'm just saying if i want to put the work in to gain the rewards, i should be free too, without being held backThis guy managed in his own post to highlight exactly what is wrong with the current generation of gamers... i don't understand why people feel this way, you aren't being forced to do anything, just play at your own pace
I thought the thing you 'get out of it' is... fun?! Like this one thing which keep you coming back to music/games/book/movies which tend to give you 'no rewards' for doing or completing them.wrong, there's always incentive in the things people do, no matter what it is in life, no one does something for the hell of it, no matter how big or small the incentive it's always there, whether personal or otherwise, there has to be something there to keep you coming back
I love...
I LOVE all the posts saying "Well if SE didn't cap you, people would stop playing the game."
While completely ignoring the underlying problem in that perspective. My question is.. how the hell did MMOs survive before Blizzard (or whoever they 'borrowed' the idea of token exchanges for gear and caps on them) first implemented the 'feature'? Surely there were only as handful of loyal subscribers to keep the games limping along.
Is FFXIV that terrible of a game that no one would play it if they didn't make it feel like a job to work at every week?
Personally I don't think it is. But then again I have a life, a job, a family so I don't sit on the PC grinding and grinding day in and day out for 8-23hours.
Truth is, those types of players who will, "get bored and unsub" they're likely going to get bored and unsub regardless of how much you try to 'control the flow'. That's why you had such a huge influx of returning players when Heavensward launched. If SE and the playerbase would cultivate and promote community wherein you didn't feel like you were really just playing a single player game with other people who just happen to also be playing the same game as you, then it might be in a better position to not require holding it's players hostage in the interest of progression.
But essentially this.. "If there's no caps or if they don't gate you you'll stop subbing and the game will DIIIIIE" is as fallacy and fictitious argument that holds zero weight in reality. It's a white knight battle cry and nothing more besides the fact that SE actually believes they have to do it. They don't. Because we never used to have this shit.. and *GASP* we still had MMOs to play.
They're giving out hats that have a picture of Elder Scrolls Online's tomb already?
Will we get World of Warcraft tomb caps too?
This has been my policy going in Heavensward.
WAR - i188 = ESO gear onry.
BRD/MCH - i181 = Law gear onry (Alex drops go here when the WAR doesn't require that slot, like belt/chest for example)
And when i finally get my Monk to cap, it will be using Law Gear also ... With Alex gear trickling in from unrequired slots on the other Jobs.
Its a real shame people cant get their heads around the concept of 1 Main Job with Supplemental Jobs. most likely because they're used to other titles where being a different class meant logging in on a whole new character.
And even then, speaking as someone who had 17 level capped characters during Wrath of the Lich King, Gearing them all up to the current best was a freaking nightmare. At best, i had 1 class that had amazing gear, 2 classes that were in good gear and then all the others were still in quest gear because there isn't enough time in a week to cap all the currencies and do all the raids ...
but its how you derive pleasure from whatever it is your doing, maybe we watch the same movie, but enjoy it for different reasons, the game is no different, i enjoy running/grinding content and earning new gear/weapons, making my char stronger and more powerful or to look cooler /whatever, everyone has there own version of fun
