Sorry I'm done. Struck a nerve. Carry on.
But I got bunny ear, thus I must jump around.... duuuhhhhhhh. In all seriousness it is that or I am alt-tabed and the tank pulls while I am not in game. It does only bug certain people and for only what Americans uncorrectly call "OCD" moments.

    1. because why not? if ur not in combat ur still regen-ing mana pretty fast. Also most tanks pull as soon as someone finishes their cutscene might as well as buff whoever is in range.

    2. cause medica 2 afk, isn't that what most whms are doing?

    3. something seems off with this question. how is it possible that i'm almost full on mana (means there isn't much damage going on) and the other healer is just dead? did they tank something? are they afk killing themselves? are they that bad that they would just drop dead? the conditions of that question are somewhat unrealistic. I usually don't res healers that keep dying or are killing the party with their debuff/trolling.

OCD? More like CoD! Everyone knows the proper way to play any FPS online is by putting on your bunny ears and jumping around while running! Gotta bring that mentality into the MMOs.

    1) Does it matter?
    2) in a situation with 2 ppl, it can be better when time is more heavily weighed than efficiency. For 1 person, I've run into a situation where every one is full but the tank, I time an AoE heal to land immediately after an AoE attack would land, but the AoE attack gets interrupted.
    3) no swiftcast, giving the smn a chance to do it b/c of mana, not having enough mana, or it is easy content that the other healer has already died on several times. At some point you just gotta keep him dead so you don't run out of mana. But none of these situations happen very often. If you're the dead healer, a better question would be "why did I die?" Not "why didn't you res me?"

From my experience as a healer:

    1) Players run off without Stoneskin but more detrimentally, without Protect, and wonder why they're taking increased damage. This is especially true of tanks in my case. However, in the cases where I have done this, I'm usually back at full MP again by the time all players are out of the cutscene anyway. I just do this to ensure that in the likely event that someone runs off like Leroy at least someone in my party is buffed while I chase them down.

    2) I don't see this in action very often, mostly regen spells in such cases, so I cannot answer.

    3) I've noticed this too, especially of healers revving healers but often of them raising DPS too. I've been in a number of instances (particularly in raids) where something goes wrong and I am the only healer raising anyone, draining my MP with to raise half the map to avoid a wipe where the other healer will raise only a single player and only when Swiftcast is off cooldown only between 10am and 10pm on a Tuesday. I think it's sometimes because, as someone said before, many healers view their counterpart as a rival to out-HPS for their own pride as opposed to an ally to aid in the overall needs of the party. Other things go into this: afk, continual KO, saving MP, KOed person is too far from those who may need actual healing, boss is almost dead, reviving at the start would be more beneficial for all players involved, not paying attention... Etc

    2) Casting Medicas when only one or two people really need healing, to the point their go to reaction seems to be Medica II > Cure II. ??? It's such a waste of mana and drives me insane. It doesn't even grant enough HP for the people that you're doing it for.
Depends on a lot on the situation, what I'm placing more value on (Time vs. Mana), how badly damaged the players are, whether more group damage is likely to come out soon, and whether or not I'm trying to DPS.

    1. sometimes they aren't looking or just do it preemptively, there are a lot of impatient tanks that charge in the moment they are allowed, out of combat mana regenerates really fast so its hardly using up any resources to cast it early.

    2. Nervous healers? It could also be that they want everyone topped up constantly with Medica II so they can DPS more. Divine Seal+MedicaII/Regen will give you a lot of breathing room to comfortably DPS while keeping everyone healthy.

    3. Either Swift is down (or they lack it) and they aren't comfortable not healing anyone for 7 seconds, or the other healer has died several times already and has proven to be a liability.

The first problem doesn't bother me at all, second one I find sometimes in trials and Alex raids, which is fine as long as they can keep their mana up and not cause hate issues. and third is really rare, if I die or someone else dies, a rez is almost always immediate.

This is exactly the case and why other healers don't understand this is beyond me. With Divine Seal + Medica II + Regen, a base tick averages, for me, is a little over 2100. There is no reason to heal unless the tank is not using cooldowns. I can go into dps mode without having to worry about healing. Period. I don't have to click in and out of cleric stance to heal. There is no need. Everyone should be brought up close to full health, even if they are taking damage. This is a major difference between your proactive and reactive healers.

I've seen some that go straight into dps mode. Not even a regen on the tank. Stating that 10% stoneskin is good enough. Letting them get down to 1-2k hitpoints, and you know what happens. Can't get out of CS fast enough, whoops, they die. No, that is not okay and I boot healers like that. Tanks in my party deserve better treatment than that.

what i just cant get: why are there WHM that use medica 2 BEFORE a fight starts, for example before a primae fight
medica 2 isnt succor that prevents dmg, its useless overheal on a group thats full to begin with which creates unneeded aggro
    this is just so stupid...

Well that one is dumb. There is no need to cast medica II early in the fight nevermind before it. There are Healers mainly in DF who don't understand how aggro builds and if they start a boss fight with the only aggro on the table they will pull and die. Ideally you don't even want to cast a single heal for the first few % of the boss so the Tank has time to get through their rotation and firmly establish threat. Even if the Tank pulled if the first thing you do is divine seal and medica II the Tank will have problems dealing with a huge spike in your threat. There is no incoming damage in the first 30 seconds or so of the fight just a couple of hits on the tank so you might as well wait a bit and do some DPS since damage pulls much less threat than heals.
