In regards to it working though, you don't think that they compromised because the game was so fresh, and that they couldn't afford the loss of players? I'd be curious to see if that still holds up in a year when the game has been fleshed out.

I'd much rather pay $5/minion or $20-25/mount in the Cash Shop, than $40-60 for an undesired "real life" item with the desired item attached to it.

Well that's all the more reason to speak against it isn't it? Or at least to find a compromise between that could strengthen both the consumer and seller instead of stubbornly pursuing the most blatantly rapacious route which could have long term detrimental effects?

Personally, my solution is looking for that BOGO (Buy One Get One) deal. SE as well as other companies make other games right? Like lets say Blizzard decides to release one of the best looking cash shop only mounts ever while the others available to subscribers look like absolute reskinned garbage (*cough*). Not only that but promoting the hell out of it in my face while im paying them $15 a month to play the game and all the content updates that come with it. Still want that mount? Well just look for that BOGO deal where if you buy one mount you get a game free. Its how I got Heart of the Swarm. Theyre not that hard to find, just gotta know where to look.

In a way, they end up losing money. Same goes for the retainer issues. Only way ill pay for extra space is when im allowed to mail items to alts. So long as they continue to repeat that sad excuse about "server space issues" and "RMT" they not only dont get a dime from me with their paid retainers, they actually lose some sub $$ I would otherwise be paying for.

Matter of fact, someone just made a great point about the Odin mount... thinking ill buy it one of these days. Maybe around November 10th ...

Indeed. The mere presence of a cash shop beyond account services like name changes or appearance changes makes my stomach unsettled. >_< Stop asking devs to charge us more for things we should get in the game. They make plenty of money.

The funniest part about your statement is that is exactly what people said when companies started charging for name changes/realm changes. Everyone complained that it would ruin the game and they were quitting and blah blah blah. It's here, it's not going anywhere. If you don't like it, don't use it. Telling other people what they are allowed to ask for is rather rude.

You are aware retainers are actually a very powerfull tool to make insane ammount of ingame cash with little to no effort right? Something a non-paying consumer can only use a small percentage of with the two free retainers they get.

I make plenty of gil without buying another retainer. You don't "need" another retainer for selling. The only advantage is more storage space and that's not a game breaking advantage. Honestly, neither is making gil since it is mostly worthless for anything in the game since the best gear is drop only.

I dont see what's wrong with it. You support the developers and the game, and get something cool in return that isnt game breaking should you not decide to buy it. No one is forcing anyone to spend extra money if they dont wish to.

And i don't see what's wrong with it to put those as rewards into story sidequests (as an example new beastmen stories). Players have a story that they enjoy and get a cool reward, and devs are happy because players are happy. Much better than the boring way of real money.

If you want to "support" the developers, change race every month.

Adding crap like CS all the time is wrong and they shouldn't always get away with it. This is why we voice our opinion's. Surprise! It's freedom of speech? Don't like it? Again, buzz off.
Things like this, should already be in the game as some sort of reward. As I said in the other post, if you want fair game...Add it both in CS and cash shop. At least this can make everyone happy.
