New Mog Station Mounts

Too many people caring about how others spend their money. If SE really cared about whiney players feelings towards the cash shop and it needing to be removed, it wouldn't exist, period. You feel otherwise, please prove me wrong. I really want to hear that one.

This playerbase has by far some of the most entitled and whiney people I've ever seen, and I say that having played WoW from day 1 to ARR launch.

Too many people care about things about what should already be in the game, and they have every right to feel this way.
We pay this game a month to get away from that Cash Shop BS.
Character change / Name change all that is fine.
But it's BS when you mounts, minions that's overpriced like hell, and God damn dye's into a CS. And the worst of it all...INVENTORY SPACE inside the CS.
This isn't WoW, shouldn't run like WoW. Just because some other MMO does it, doesn't mean everyone else needs to do the same.
Shouldn't also feel like a F2P game where you buy extra space.

I have to agree with you on this.

Look at the threads talking about equal glamour outfits for male avatars. Every complainer is a entitled player who cares to much, about what another player dresses his or her character with. I do not understand why people care so much about other player character, do have soo much free time, that they care what others do with their character?

So yeah, while I do have different opinion about the Mog Station. I can agree with you that the players of FFXIV (atleast the ones on the forum) are very entitled.

Wait a minute now. I didn't realize we're getting stuff for free. You're telling me I don't have to pay $13 a month for this game then?

Or we can actually play the game, feel accomplished of getting said mounts and not throw $30 into it.

If you want fair game. You add whatever goes into CS, into the game. People can pick how they wanna obtain it.
Seems like a good deal to me, I'm sure some people will still run Cash shop either way.

SE's cash shop has been more than reasonable, I'd buy a new mount if it was added.

Cash stuff is optional and with the exception of retainers are all vanity.

What's ironic is that nobody complains about spending extra money just to get the vanity items from Digital Collector's Edition, or the Fanfare subscription for the moogle items, and the upcoming Carbuncle plushy for it's Carbuncle minion.

I dont see what's wrong with it. You support the developers and the game, and get something cool in return that isnt game breaking should you not decide to buy it. No one is forcing anyone to spend extra money if they dont wish to.

Or, you could get them in game for doing fun stuff.

Spending money isn't fun. I don't get why people seem to be so eager to make vanity a premium instead of a prize.

Believe it or not, it does apply to others. The more people that buy these mounts the more reason SE has to add more mounts to the cash shop, not a hard concept to grasp. I personally don't mind it as it is now, $20 for a mount that's just a beefed up primal mount? Whatever. But if they go the WoW route and implement the same mounts in game with different skins, and then throw all the cooler mounts into the cash shop that's a problem. I'm sure you can at least agree to that, no? And I'd like to state that FFXIV isn't the holy grail of gaming, don't be stupid with your AAA purchases and you'll get quality games. Personally got 100ish hours out of the Witcher 3 (which was entertaining for the most part, little grind) for the small price of $80 AUD. If they decided to implement entire sets of armour and the like I'm out. I'm paying for 2x subscriptions, and quite a bit of Fantasias here so you can't exactly state that I'm not supporting the game, which seems to be an argument thrown around here.

Then i guess we need to scrap the griffin mount since ppl paid more to get it and lets scrap the veteran rewards as well since you rather earn everything right? maybe ppl should start complaining that they did not have the cash for the big CE with that dragon and since they pay for the game SE needs to send everyone it

Yes i agree it be dumb to put mounts in there you can earn in game hell i'm not asking for a wow cash shop or anything but a mount every 7 or so months wont kill anything

Who said anything about scrapping? Maybe I'm not being clear.

I'm saying I'd rather win a griffin than fork over my cash for it. That's not an adventure. That's not a quest with a fabulous reward. That's a stale, grey, joyless transaction.
