    Implementing a new mount is rather easy, you just need to design models/animation, that's like 1month's work at most.

    But if you are making gears affecting your job abilities/TP/MP etc, there are just too many possible combinations, some of them are eventually going to be overpowered compared to others (in Endgame 8-man contents), and everyone playing that job is going to use 1-2 specific build. Then it just become another boring horizontal grind in addition to the vertical one we already have..

    Diablo III's dev team spent several years trying to make their gear system interesting while balanced, but last time I heard it is still far from perfect. This can be a reference..

    Here is the problem...
    People are now going to have to farm for 3 types of the same stupid gauntlets, chest, legs, and Etc. for these fights. I also have my bags full enough with glamour and alt armor. I don't need anymore crap just so I can down 1 boss in Alex.

    Here is another problem. The problem I see is that people are going to optimize armor to best stats and casuals will follow their cookie cut builds making other stats undesirable just because they are less optimal. Stats will go to waste and Yoshi p. and his marry men will have to fix it with nerfs and buffs so we can all feel like we are making a choice. "Why use poison resist stat when Tp is more desirable regardless of the boss?"

    I get it. We want freedom and choice, but it did not work in wow and it wont work here.

    That when you get variety! to choose what you want, instead of being force fed gear you have to use because it has a higher number..

    It's totally up to you if you want to carry 2-3 sets of gear on you.. I'd personally go with what worked..

    You do realize that relic weapons were for casuals that couldn't raid, and that they made it so you could put your OWN stats on relic weapons to customize? Relic weapons were MADE to appease Casuals! And everyone BUT the raiders like them.

    yeah give mage Refresh/conserve MP , Melees TP conservation or Crit to TP 5% , and remove bard from the game, u are almost there anyway :P

    but yeah , at least add interesting passive stats ....or PROCS ,every skill has a chance to proc 10% attack speed for 10s (internal cd 90s) , something that make u go ...woahhh....instead of "meh"

    The killer thing with this game however is that they sit on a gold mine, they could have the best gear customization ever seen in video games to date. Yes I talk about the materia system.The materia system could be this games actual end game progression but SE seemingly refuses to do anything with this system. Wouldnt it be nice to affix a fire 3 materia to our weapon to give it a chance to proc a fire spell as an on hit effect? They could do so much with it, like give us materia that is specific to jobs. Such as a sentinel type of materia for PLD's that would increase it's duration. For another example a cure 4 materia affixed to a white mages staff that would have the occasional ability to proc an auto-raise on a target that has recently received a heal by cure.

    Really the only aspect of this game that I find that's not Final Fantasy is it's gear, the series is known for having unique weapons/armor/acc. with cool abilities attached to them. This game has none of it.

    The problem with "interesting" stats is that they create balancing issues.

    Let's take as an example any stat that would increase potency of some ability that is part of some class standard "rotation". What do you put in as well to ensure that there is a corresponding negative side?
    Maybe hard cap accuracy at 95% to compensate... Would that be acceptable?

    No thanks. I've been through it already with Ragnarok Online's card system. It was a grindy nightmare then and I don't see it being any different here.

    Well, I'm sure SE would be able to come up with an idea themselves on how to get it on gear or if gear had certain stats embedded on them. that's up to them, i'm not asking for another grind like zeta
