    Find the sweet spot on the boss and you only have to take one step to the left and right for positionals. Not like ive seen many MNKs who run half way around the boss XD Also you lose a truck load of damage over a long fight by ignoring positional requirements on MNK. Which could mean the difference of beating that enrage timer or getting stomped because DPS was too low.

    Think of a circle around the boss, with an X splitting it into 4 parts. the quarter behind the boss is the rear, the 2 quarters either side are the flank, and of course the quarter in front is the front. if you stand just at one side of that line at the back, one step to the side over the line puts you at the flank, one step back puts you at the rear.
