Oh, what a coincidence. You brought up my other two mains. I've been doing my daily hunts as those lately, and having a blast. My level 50 PLD can solo individual mobs up to level 56, and my level 50 WHM is quite a bit squishier, so I find myself actually relying on the crowd control moves in my arsenal (can't take anything higher than level 53 on my own just yet). Overall, I finds the new enemy balance rather enjoyable.

Unfortunately, this game's playerbase has proven time and time again that they don't deserve the type of enemies you want. Higher incoming damage will just be negated with Hallowed Ground and similar cooldowns (or no cooldowns, putting all the pressure on the healers, again), while lower health means that BLM (and now SMN) will be the only two DPS anyone ever wants for dungeon runs, to just AoE everything. Those days aren't coming back.

Now - I've never minded trash in dungeons either, it just seems the one in the new dungeons have way too much health.

What if one mob engaged your DPS, whilst another started to summon a demon whilst the other teleported your healer away? That is an interesting mechanic.

What if one broke and disengaged then started engaging your healer forcing you to use taunts on them? That is an interesting mechanic.

What if one mezzed the first person he sees, forcing your healer to cure him.

What if one charmed the first person he sees, forcing your healer to cure him or kill the monster to break the charm.

What if one put a debuff on your tank which made healing him hurt him instead, but did little damage itself?

Everquest 2 was a fun game in its 2006-2007 days, the only game where I found that monsters were actual fun, challenging, threatening.
For Dungeons, not open world. I would rather be fighting interesting lore-mechanic monsters then giant pools of health.

I disagree with this. The overworld mobs are meant to pose more of a threat than those in 2.0. I'm sure as we gear up they will melt quickly again like they use to, but for now. Deal with it! They do not take that long to kill.

All of the lvl 60 dungeons are practically a joke with a good party. No reason to change them at all. As I said, once we get even better gear, its gonna be even more of a joke.
I wouldn't know, however my first weapon was the law weapon, upgraded with hunt. Still taking forever to kill. Honestly, I think our opinions differ here.

Anyways, i've got a penalty because i've missed a dungeon que replying to the thread so many times.
