Job and Subjob system instead of classes?

Why go play XI? They just released XI-2 this past September, or didn't you notice? Maybe the game title is throwing you off?

Cose FFXIV is NOT FFXI-2. They want money from FFXI and from FFXIV.
So this games want be the same. If you want Job/Subjob like in FFXI go play FFXI.

Have you missed where even the loyalist of FFXIV players said they'd quit if they charged for this game? They want money from XIV and XI is making money even 10ish years later, so something is still going right with XI -- It also has a fairly large population for being this old. XIV is about a year old without it's first expansion and undergoing an overhaul, People who want to play FFXI will play it, however there's no excuse to throw away even the basics of your PREVIOUS MMORPG instead of just making it better...even with "class customization" it's still lesser than what XI has to offer class wise -- This is the problem and why people are offering ideas about how XI did it because after making and maintaining a successful MMORPG for 10 years (including one based on the Front Mission series) XIV should not have been in the shape it was in.

You really give me the impression you as the rest of your anti XI disciples just read the title of this thread and rushed to post the common anti XI slogan "Go play XI".

I mean how about you address the concerns and stay on topic? Have you read the posts?
I for one was looking forward to a new battle system with XIV and excited about it.
It's only after the cracks of the Armoury/Class system surfacing and seeing all the different issues with it that i feel the need to raise the issue. I have played the most of the FF series, and not a single one of them i had an issue with nor failed in anyway as XIV did. There's obviously issues with it that SE realizes and are trying to address patch by patch.
So really, it's time to stop making XIV some sort of Eutopia, take off those XIV rose tainted spectacles and give constructive feedback for the future of this game. I consider myself a loyal fan to SE, but people really need to get out of this white knight mentality where you're willing for SE to dump on your cupcake and gladly call it icing.

I think there is certainly good in FFXIV and definite potential, otherwise i wouldn't be still here. However, there is alot of bad and it needs to be addressed, heck, even SE welcomes our bad feedback.

And for the love of all that is holy, stop trolling with the "Go play XI" slogan, XI is already being copied to a good extent for the benefit and success of this game.
