I thought Yoshi straight up said the build chakra ability WAS on the GCD? or has that been confirmed as a translation error or something? Thats the only reason i presumed the ability was on the GCD.

Nobody have confirmed anything about it...

Looking at the Jobs video we got, it looks very much like oGCD to me, but could be either way.

Only source that have said it's on the GCD, has been that PCgamesn guy on his stream. He doesn't know a lot of the game, even though he plays it, and he has said a lot of contradicting things... Only thing that makes me somewhat believe him, is that he mains MNK, and spent more time playing MNK during the event in France.

It's such a short time left until we know for sure, so I just won't go into more discussions whether it's GCD or oGCD.

That being said, if it's on GCD, the TP ability is pretty much useless, especially in fights where you don't have much downtime.

Also, I could see Skill Speed giving you more than Crit maybe (not sure), but would still have the drawback of using more TP... Even if you yourself gets more DPS, it doesn't matter, if your BRD have to sing Peon/MCH using turret more. Your party would probably not gain anything. It would be more balanced though, and getting SS wouldn't be useless, but I would still avoid it to make things easier.

If Chakra is oGCD, then things change some... but still have no idea if it's worth having to use TP ability over Forbidden Chakra though.

The AoE skill action is clearly non-GCD (no skill has a CD, as would happen with a GCD attack). The 2 on the left are probably GCDs, possibly not though. The two on the right are Chakra stack skills due to being the only two things possible to be unable to be used while the GCD is available.

If I had to guess, I'd say the initial reports the guy made are correct and Chakra is on the GCD, primarily meant for downtime, pre-battle buffing, and if you run out of TP.

Btw, the same guy that we have put all our trust in for info said this on reddit: "Here's the skill names in order of their appearance: Forbidden Chakra - Chakra - Elixir Drive - Purify - Tornado Kick." Maybe we are missing something, but looking at the abilities, the last 2 ones clearly are grayed/blacked out and the first ability is not... Makes no sense that you can't use Purify, but can use Forbidden Chakra, since they both cost the same.

To me that looks like a false statement from that guy, and it wouldn't be the first... I won't trust anything he has said, that nobody else haven't said too.

There's literally nothing in that image that would indicate that they're on the GCD.

It's possible chakra triggers a GCD that's shorter than the usual 2.5 seconds. I know no other skills behave like this, but there are other skills in the game that have unique GCDs like fist of fire/wind/earth only triggering a GCD for those 3 abilities.

the 3 fist abilities for monk are not affected by skill speed/GL and are a 3 second CD, they are simply a shared recast not a separate GCD.

So forbidden chakra is 400 pot. So how much pot is tornado kick. I thought it'll be much higher pot since its a move that eats GL. SA is much higher with 500 pot(I think).

I believe you did not take into account Greased Lightning damage buff. I don't know how much it adds, but I think it's enough to reconsider how much that 400 potency is, and why it shouldn't be compared with Sneak.

if the PCgamern guy is to be trusted, tornado kick is supposed to be 500 potency, exactly the same as sneak attack.
i know a lot of people have concerns about his validity though so take that info as you will.

EDIT: for some reason i didnt realize what you meant by comparing to sneak attack first read through, tornado kick will be closer to around a 550-600 potency from a nin when you consider GL3 and twin snakes.

No I didn't take it into consideration since I was just mainly comparing both skills without the buff. So beside the new skillz were all getting fr mnk. Are there anything else like May be increase potency on our other WS? Or lower cool down for like HF?
