Ah, thanks for the clarification. I still don't see a downside to this one bit. Ninjas already are faster than the other melee classes, so positioning isn't, or rather shouldn't, be an issue. Does it mean you have to put more effort into playing Ninja? Yes. But anyone playing Ninja should be doing that anyways. Things like Trick Attack already call for moving not just to the right position but doing so at the right time. There's an entirely technical layer of rotation beneath the surface of each melee DPS class. Even DRG still without positionals.

I suppose time will tell, but they can just as easily remove positional requirements on Ninja if it seems more of a bane than a boon.
