My body is ready boiz.
I'm not sure if i was crazy but it looked like monk attacked in rapid succession. Like 5 attacks in three seconds
Over 9000!!!!?? lol
But for real dat hype lets see how this will all tie into the new rotation, also wonder how badly this will weed out bad monks from playing the class lol
Dumb question but, why start with DK and not bootshine (Assuming no PB, fresh start)? You don't get the debuff from DK unless you do it from Opo opo so I am confused about the entire rotation at the start of the thread. I usually play WHM, but lately have been asked to DPS, and it has pushed me into BRD/MNK. Soon to be MNK and the entire rotation confuses me at the start of the thread.
DK and Bootshine are the same at the start of the rotation. It doesn't really matter which you do, but it's simpler to do DK because you should use Twin Snakes next which is also a Flank move.Dumb question but, why start with DK and not bootshine (Assuming no PB, fresh start)? Consider Dragon Kick(Flank) and Twin Snakes(Flank) coupled, while Bootshine(Rear) and True Strike(Rear) are also together.
You do your two Flank moves for one cycle, then the Rear moves for the next. They alternate.
The last move is Demo after every 2 cycles, otherwise Snap Punch.
Hence:
DK(Flank) -> Twin(Flank) -> Demo -> Boot(Rear) -> True(Rear) -> Snap -> DK(Flank) -> Twin(Flank) -> Snap -> Boot(Rear) -> True(Rear) -> Demo
See? The Flank and Rear moves alternate, while you can use Snap Punch twice before putting back up Demolish's DoT.
Add in Touch of Death when needed to refresh and use your oGCDs smartly (off cd unless needed).
*Didn't include the positional bonuses for Demo and Snap since I only included those to highlight the coupling of the first two moves in each cycle.

Um, the class already weeds out bad players, what with every atatck being a positional and maintaining GL3, versus something like dragoon or ninja where you rarely give a damn about your positioning outside the odd attack and you have little time constraints on executing skills.
The players who already played monk well will continue to do so. Summoner might become a strong contender for class complexity, especially with the xtra pet attacks mixed in it's a lot of micromanaging already.
Ah okay. So I am not doing anything wrong by doing Boot/twin/Demo, but I am doing something wrong by doing DK/True/Snap afterwards? Is it just not as much DPS to get up the debuff right away instead of doing boot/true/snap? If so, this will make playing monk WAY easier than what I have been doing it. Haha
